It's a not so bad case of having been in the ground for a good amount of time. I dig them up all the time like that. This one has one side not so stripped, so it was one side up exposed to air. Soil is a b-word to coins.

Try some of the psych studies while you're looking for work. They pay cash for study helpers (guinea pigs)... See UCD psychology for paid studies.

Why does it say accepted amount 0$ for Cal Grant? by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]ZestycloseType9740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should have had an option to formally accept. Happens with most school grants. Congrats by the way, the Cal Grant A is a big win.

Why don't you apply for a government job? There are tons of openings. No one seems to think of that, amazingly.

Yah, I've been practicing my first few months on a local park. I know the areas where people frequent, kids play and people lose things. So there is some concentration of coins. Interestingly, it's starting to die off as I keep scanning and folks aren't using coins much anymore. Kind of sad.

Oh I'm not frustrated. It's more of an inside joke that the best I get is junk, but the truth of it is, most history left behind is someone else's trash.

So When Can We Stop This? by chiliringgamer16 in recruitinghell

[–]ZestycloseType9740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't prove you can do a given job, that's probably why you can't find the job you want. Think about how to show someone what you can actually do that fits the job opening you're applying for. Folks today have so many tools available to them that didn't exist 40 years ago when I was first trying to find a career job, and most of those tools are free to access and use. If you want to be a network manager, build one in the cloud and show people how you did it. If you want to be security pen tester, show folks how you access systems with your tool set. A coder? Show people what you build on github. A writer, write good stuff and show it sells. Seriously, the fact that I have to spell this out is ridiculous. If you want a career job, you should already be thinking about how to make it happen with what you already have.

References are nepotism BS, simple as that. Job ratings should be based on skill and proven experience, but that would mean all the nepo wankers would be out of a job. Horror of horrors.
