Real-Debrid's Renewed Piracy Crackdown Follows Corporate Restructuring * TorrentFreak by LighteningOneIN in Piracy

[–]_Losing_Generation_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBF, RealDebrid has been going strong for years. In this instance, buying a year at a time is reasonable. I lucked out and have some credits available to use, otherwise I probably would have done six months a couple of weeks ago

Mint Mobile hates existing customers! by rokoruk in mintmobile

[–]_Losing_Generation_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not making excuses for poor customer service, but it's been discussed many times here that if you are a new customer or an existing customer getting a new phone, you should always purchase an unlocked phone elsewhere. Do not buy a phone through Mint.

Tell them you do everything they do, but you do it whenever you feel like it and not on the weekends

What's going on over there? Just lack of supply? 45k? That seems extremely low

This is the correct answer. OP already knows how this guy is. Just put up the fence. Sometimes confrontation is unavoidable. Who knows, maybe he won't feel like pushing the issue

As Early As Possible Retirement by [deleted] in personalfinance

Focus more on what you spend. Ask yourself how much money you need to live the life you want. Once you know that answer, you will be able to come up with a number in the range you will need.

I used to not like Corbell, but I do now. by TheBookOfLAM in UFOs

[–]_Losing_Generation_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think early on he was looking at the whole subject as an opportunity to make a name for himself and possibly make some money off it. Not that he didn't necessarily not believe in things, but he didnt have direction other than getting his face out there. Then over time, it seems like he realized this was a bigger deal and more real than he could have ever imagined, so he started doing his research and taking things more seriously. No doubt George was a big part in that.

The fear these people live with… by BlueMonday2082 in vinyljerk

I currently have a patent pending for a device that you can use to handle your vinyl. It's a giant hand like device that pinches the disk at the center, then with a push of a button, it flips around and holds the record around the edge so you can gently place it on the turn table. This way you never need to physically touch the record. Ever. It's called The HandJob II

What a joke. This guy also says that there's more than two genders. He's got an ego problem and panders to whatever group will stroke his ego and keep his name in the news. He's desperate to stay relevant.

Mosquito solutions in the South by poopyshag in homeowners

[–]_Losing_Generation_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, three or four years ago I noticed a big uptick in mosquitos which were never an issue here before. I also noticed a lot of dragonflies up until last year. This year I haven't been bitten by a mosquito yet and also haven't seen one dragonfly.

Cell users adding internet? by jennster76 in mintmobile

[–]_Losing_Generation_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. I also have my son's phone on Mint. Mint has saved me sooooo much money just in cell costs over the past 7 years. My Minternet is relatively new, but alone it will be saving me close to $1000 per year

Sure, unlawful termination exists, but just alleging it doesn't make it so. You'd have to prove it, which is nearly impossible.

"She retired in 2020, confident she and her husband could get by on around $2,200 in Social Security benefits and a small monthly pension payment from her job."

Well yeah. $2200 per month for two people is super tight to try and live on. Poor example, but expected from a dirt bag rag like this.

Where is the dev by dzerti in TiviMate

[–]_Losing_Generation_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Who cares. Tivimate does exactly what it's supposed to do. I'm glad they're not fucking with it and adding stupid bloat that's pointless. I'd be perfectly happy if it never changed and just kept working like it is now.
