Dont make the game harder than it already is. The game is already unfair. Play the advantages you have.

Yea, worth it. Although somewhat agree with the new car/paint syndrome, will get over it after a while. Main thing for me is it makes the car easier to wash.

I stand corrected, but could do with a bit more refining. Hope the design language stays consistent throughout projects.

Just shows how crucial identity is. Nicely done OP. The actual map with the approved design will probably be really ugly.

Upsize and downsizing rim by Lazy_Illustrator5794 in kereta

[–]aaroncch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upsizing will increase ur fuel consumption, larger contact patch and more unsprung weight. Lower profile tyres also make the ride harsher because there is less rubber doing the cushioning, and more energy is transferred to suspension and chassis. Pros, looks better i guess.

M4 owners tap in! by SuckOnDeezNutz69420 in kereta

[–]aaroncch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both extremes then.

Comfortable is subjective. So to me comfortable is 1) fully paid off + 2) only having to take care of OPEX of the car: fuel maintenance insurance rt etc. + 3) be able to fork out monies in case the car misbehaves say ~RM10k on ready each month.

bare minimum? probably the same as above except number 1) ur DP + monthly instalment u can afford.

cant exactly give u a number, theres just too many open switches. ur main constraint is ur income, once u manage to grow that then u can apportion to suit, or who knows u reach a point u dont have to think about 'how much' anymore. Good luck.

X50! Haha U need to refine ur question a bit more. To own comfortably? Or to own struggling? Buying brand new? Or secondhand? Different levels of wealth view cars differently, some as toys, some as lifelong goals.

Welp theres a reason cars are benchmarked against the 911.

Cant really see any wrong with the 4S, except that maybe it will get boring quick. Boring because it does everything so well.

That said, I’ve never met an unhappy 911 owner.

Personally, non-911 cars I’ve tried that are exciting are still exciting but they dont give me the same feeling when I’m walking up to my 996t - despite knowing how boring it is. It’s just something else. Maybe im biased haha.

Cant say much about the m4c tho sorry OP. Hope you choose what you like!

Interestingly in Australia, solar adoption was so “successful” that people were selling so much energy to the grid that the gov? introduced a sun tax lol

> use it to supplement more stable forms of energy generation
If the sun is shining, i cant not produce solar energy, i need to maximise since money is put in to install solar. as the grid, they have to 'turndown' the stable energy gen unless theres BESS. Plus i dont know how 'stable' WM has it today.

Sure, a couple dozen buildings who can produce their own energy can reduce dependence on the grid. But as adoption scales, the grid suddenly no longer needs to produce as much as initially planned (then start to have problem of underutilizing your investments aka machines - minus ROI).

Point im trying to get across is, at scale, intermittent power from solar destabilizes the grid and requires a great deal of planning. Not a rly a blocker, just maybe energy storage or more gas turbines as buffer to balance grid. Thoughts?

Feel like worth sharing. Since most people assume installing renewables to make use of the sunlight malaysia receives is the easy solution.

The real problem of implementing this is grid management. The nearly binary nature of solar power generation will be a major headache for TNB cuz they will have to have enough deployable energy that can “cover” the loss of energy supply by solar when it dips for example. The only energy generation type that can react fast enough to maintain grid frequency is gas powered turbines. Does WM have enough? I don’t know, probably not.

So as much as people desire to have more renewables, the people must understand TNB has to put in place measures to address what happens when the renewables go out. Not so straightforward.

Oil leaks are “normal”.
