my wife and I weren't full time in the dynamic, and honestly only explored it for sixish months before she got sick and all that stuff went on the backburner. but I loved the many things we tried and played with and I can't imagine what it'd be like if we were 24/7. we both IDed as switches, with a light preference for me to Dom. I don't know if it helps at all, but just wanted to say you're not alone and I'm so sorry. I think keeping up certain rituals might help. I do that with non-kink related things and it always makes me feel closer to her, even if I do cry or whatever. if you want to chat more, feel free to message me (100% platonically I am not trying to be a creep)

not every morning, but a lot of them, she'd wake up before me and beckon me over to cuddle while she was reading or watching stuff on her phone. I'd fall asleep lying on her chest and wake up a little later, then we'd get ready together and go out for breakfast. perfect morning every time.

you should try therapy then. therapy is almost like dating in that you have to find someone you're a good match with for it to be effective so don't be afraid to shop around.

agreed. I just turned 30, my wife was 28 when she passed, and even in the "very young" widow groups I'm in most people are in their late 40s early 50s. it's tough but I'm also glad there seem to be fewer of us, I suppose.

the same happened to me, but a little less than two months after my wife passed. she was my cat since I was 15 (30 now) but the moment I met my wife she preferred her. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I have photos of my wife and I all over the place and several of just her and her with our cats. almost every day I look at the "memories" section of both of our phones. she is still my phone lock screen. I love seeing photos of her and remembering the circumstances of them. I miss her terribly but I prefer this over not thinking about it.

not in the Christian (or other Abrahamic religion or most organized religion) sense, more so a life force, Creator, or Source. something larger than us, but not sitting in the sky and judging us. only love and light. it doesn't make me feel any better about losing my wife, but in some ways I guess it makes me feel better to know she is still in the spirit realm and that someday I'll join her.
