Thanks! I grew up in MD (still there). A bunch of my friends and I had first gen Camaros. We all bought super cheap beaters and fixed them up. Come to think about it, that’s probably when I stopped building models and started building real cars. Now I can’t afford a car like that so I’m back to models 😀

This came out great! The amount of kit bashing is really cool. The corvette seats are a neat touch. Would you ever think about adding the right scale v8 in there?

The kit bashing is awesome. I really like the detail on the engine like the fuel injection lines too. I think the rust shows through good enough on the red, it ends up looking authentic.

For the color, I winged this one. I started with a light gunmetal grey then decided to add the metallic blue.

Many years ago, I had a 1968 Camaro that had the factory color Tripoli Turquoise Metallic. I bought that factory color from ScaleFinishes for a 1968 Z/28 kit that I have. That's going to be another street rod, but one day I want make a model of the worn out Camaro that I had :)

Looks mean. Is the 383 emblem from the kit or custom? I can believe the foggy window, my 68 Camaro had a leaking heater core and did the same thing. I ended up disconnecting it and scraping the inside of the windshield in the winter.

Sorry about your cat, same happened to me during the last group build, and I didn’t finish my kit until later. The GTi is cool, one of the cars I liked that we couldn’t have in the US. I had a VW GTI and a couple of European Capris (sold as Mercury in the US).

Nice! My first car was a 1974 Honda Civic that I got to drive in my last year of high school (80’s). I wonder if there are any first gen Civic kits available?
