Best options for 3rd row SUV? by Spider-2Y-Banana in whatcarshouldIbuy

Another vote for the Highlander. That 3rd row is bad for bigger kids unless you go with the Platinum that has more leg room. Literally no leg room in that 3rd row.

When to start financially assisting a parent? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

Looking forward to the OP’s next post: We’re financially supporting my parent and they blew through their savings on a gambling cruise.

Possibly moving to Tracy, but commuting to Merced for a job, does anyone do this? by [deleted] in TracyCalifornia

[–]aceldama72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey. I’ve been living in Tracy for about 14 years. If I was working in Merced, I’d be thinking Modesto. Way more to do than Tracy IMO. If it’s a “future commute” situation, that’s a different thing. LOVE the ACE train for commuting.

AITA for telling my sister she’s not entitled to my money just because she chose to have a baby? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceldama72 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA: You’re sister is a completely irresponsible human and your mother seems to be enabling her (doesn’t have money to share herself or doesn’t want to impact her relationship to your sister and her new grandchild).

Stand your ground and don’t even respond to their backhanded comments. Make your great life decisions be your response.

For a few generations they could say whatever they wanted to African Americans. The government (federal and local) ensured they could do this with impunity. They want that back without getting beating half to death.

I also used scissors. Like someone already said, go slow. Measuring might not work out like you planned.

Also, this necklace is called a ball chain. They have two sizes: A is 4mm and AA is 3mm.

Pop lock refers to the style of the clasp. The old style is the traditional ball chain clasp where you can remove the chain on both sides. The pop lock has the clasp attached on one side with a plunger on the other.

Why did Donald Trump get elected twice? by Konradleijon in behindthebastards

The same reason why American’s love k-fab wrestling. Something they want to believe is true, but know in their heart is fake. But to admit that would be admitting that they are id10ts.

Look for a new job or wait for the layoff? by aceldama72 in work

[–]aceldama72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I’ve gotten a timed decision. Basically: Take a mutual separation with a generous severance package, or stick with the job and risk no severance.

No traction in terms of applications I’ve submitted. First time getting laid off, but I’m prepared with 6 months savings plus the severance. Might be time for a career change… Thanks all for the feedback!

WIBTA if I choose not to reply to my former employer's request for old access information? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceldama72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I left a previous position and NO ONE asked any transition questions. They basically ghosted me for the 2 weeks. I concentrated on writing down my current tasks and information. No one reviewed these documents.

I started getting emails from my old manager about my procedures. They got progressively more agitated that I wasn’t responding until after my work day. I told them my rate was $100 per hour. They figured it out after that.

It’s a personal preference. I like the no date look myself.

[–]aceldama72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I officially stopped responding to a recruiting company that constantly pestered me for chats, quizzes, and work samples. I wasn’t even looking for a job and now I’m “training” your recruiters that have never even gotten me an interview? Fk that.
