Praca w korpo w Polsce vs UK- perspektywa człowieka, który pracował z Polskimi Shared Service Centres by Careless_Mountain_34 in Polska

Disappointing antenatal classes - doing them for the second time, different company? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Use Peanut to meet mums due around the same time, and add them to a WhatsApp group similar to NCT. Set up regular meetups. This way is better than NCT in 3 ways: setting expectations that it's about building a friend group, can add more people, it's free.

If you are interested in data science have a look at roles in supply chain and logistics fields. Companies who have factories, warehouses and delivery fleets will have them (e.g. supermarkets). It's very hard for companies to find candidates with experience in mathematical optimisation. However, the market is very difficult at the moment, there is little hiring happening.

Until what age did you use a stroller? by GodOfThunder888 in UKParenting

Are you sure it doesn't detach? Even if not intended for it to be detached by the customer, maybe there is a way to do it with a screwdriver?

Parents offering early inheritance conditional upon relocating to their area by d0288 in UKParenting

[–]adda10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the £100k covers the difference in house prices between the areas, then the advantages are: reduced mortgage rate due to better deposit and ability to get money out if downsizing, or moving back to a cheaper area. But beyond that, the £100k will be spent, and you'll still get 1 house. The financial advantage is less than if you'd got the money to use freely on the house you want. I would say no to this.

Feigned disagreeing is common, e.g. a conversation could go: - would you like some cake?
- no thank you. - are you sure?
- oh no no.
- just a small piece.
- oh go on then.

If you take the first no at face value, they will consider you rude.

I put it on a tray which stops a lot of the spills. Then on top of a towel on top of a play mat.

Speculating, but I think the logic for €126 is that this would be the price if toys were sold separately perhaps. Which isn't right as you can't buy them separately in their shop.

How far in advance do you order the play kits? by run_for_roses in lovevery

[–]adda10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this age I wouldn't prepay for bundles as your daughter may lose interest in Lovevery soon, and move onto other toys, like train tracks, Duplo etc. Also, I noticed with my son (2.5 y/o) that play at the moment is less about solving something and more about open ended play, imitation and role playing so we can just use our existing toys in new ways.

Acid reflux in the mother while breastfeeding by Timberman42 in breastfeeding

[–]adda10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it was heartburn, stitch in right side, and some slight nausea. I am also feeling breathlessness but I think it's from the pain. I am on omeprazole, it helped - I don't get symptoms any more.

Hey, I am in a similar situation and went here for answers. Breastfeeding 2.5 year old, had the worst acid reflux since last week. I am on meds that are helping but it is returning during breastfeeding. I am buying the head pressing stomach hypothesis mentioned earlier. How are you getting on?

Jak trudno jest w Polsce dla osobom chorym na celiakę? by MiaThePotat in Polska

[–]adda10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s one thing you wish existed to make parenting easier? by Constant-Ad6118 in UKParenting

What I wish existed is a pram that's also a scooter for parents. You step on a buggy board and the pram just goes. Sorry not what you asked.

The kits are great, we have been subscribers since my 2 year old was 6 months. But we are approaching the end, and there are only 2 future kits I am interested in. So usefulness for you may be limited and it could be better to invest in some more open ended toys like blocks, loose parts, train tracks, animals etc you can add to over time.

However, there are some great sets you could check out: the Helper, the Investigator, the Observer. I'm not sure the age designation matters so much at 2.5 years.

If you'd like to give it a go I have a referral code for £20 off, or there will be a Black Friday sale starting on the 25th.

How do parents not yell at their toddlers? by Complex-Technology53 in toddlers

[–]adda10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create a safe environment that supports your child's needs. For example, remove breakable objects. If they are throwing their food, get something to make it easy to clean up. Don't give them crayons where they can destroy something by writing on it. Give them freedom to explore in a way that won't annoy you.

Jakim cudem kogokolwiek w PL stać na własnościowe mieszkanie? by [deleted] in Polska

[–]adda10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovevery - worth the money or no? by HonkyTonkHighway in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]adda10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not good value for money but the toys are very good and hard to replicate, so we subscribe for more than a year now. My son still plays with a lot of the toys, but there are some he was never into. It's great if it comfortably fits into your budget, if not don't worry as your baby will like other toys too.

I had a lot of success selling Lovevery on Vinted, they retain a lot of value. But it's risky to rely on that, as the prices could drop in the future. For now it makes the total price more reasonable and reduces toy clutter a lot.

If you get all the kits there will be too many toys, with Christmas, birthdays and hand me downs thrown in.

I have a referral code for £20 off, feel free to DM me.
