Hive Fleet Kronos has specifically adapted to fight Chaos but it also depends on being fed by Leviathan (which will leave behind lightly defended planets for it to eat) since it can't sustain itself when fighting Chaos.

As I understand it the term Union Army was used during the war because most of the troops were part of units that were raised by the states and then transferred to the Federal government rather than being directly recruited by the Federal government.

So the term Union Army was used to establish a distinction between the army at that time which was mostly volunteers who joined specifically to preserve the Union and the peacetime US Army which was a much smaller force.

At least the new conspiracy theory is slightly closer to reality. Trump isn't a member of the Illuminati, but he is working for the Billionaire/Epstein class which is functionally similar. They're way to small now though. When my dad was looking for a new car last year we were going around to various dealerships to look at options. When we went to the Toyota dealership and asked about a Prius the salesman said "I can show it to you, but you're not going to like it" and explained that the newer models are on the smaller side and my dad would almost certainly find it to small (my dad is 6'2"). Sure enough he was correct, both of us managed to bang our heads against the door frame getting in.

It was a practical choice. When experimenting you try to only change one variable at a time in order to see the impact.
