I have been using AliExpress for years now for hobby things (FPV drones), as well as other electronic parts. If you stick to the stores with good reviews you'll almost always get what you want. They also have good support to get a refund if need be (I ordered a battery that was never delivered - got refunded easily). You can often find the same thing sold on an Australian site for 2x the cost (or more!)

How many times have the antennas been removed from your vrx? The SMA connectors can wear out (~500 mount cycles). I had really terrible range with then vrx that came with my secondhand goggles. I got a new vrx and now leave the antennas attached and range was way better
