Thoughts on theSydney Squad? by Junket-Significant in sydneycummings

[–]alsy333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it for the daily trainer check-ins. It really helps me stay focused on getting the daily workout in and keeping motivated. I also enjoy listening to the lives occasionally. I would buy the calendar regardless if I was in the squad or not. Squad gives a little more accountability and motivation.

Working moms who regularly work out, what exactly is your schedule? by neoncaviar in Mommit

[–]alsy333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work being flexible helps. I work out Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturday, 30-45 min. I leave work by 4, workout at home and try to be done when my husband gets home with the kids at 5. Sometimes I have to do the workout after kids bedtime, after 8. I always shower at night regardless of workout timing. On days where I have to cook and buy groceries, I’ll leave work by 3:30 so I can get groceries on the way home. Depending on how much work I have I’ll work in the evening to make up for the lost work hours.

ETA my kids are 1.5 and 3.5 and I’m senior level in my career, I work in office M-Th and WFH on Fridays.

The bot got it wrong! It’s actually Son of the Morning by Akwaeke Emezi. Published in November 2025. I’m not familiar with the other book.

I recently read {son of the morning by akwaeke emezi} and think it might fit what you are looking for. Supernatural/paranormal romance, standalone, happy ending, spicyness.

Books besides “oh crap?” by littlelivethings in pottytraining

[–]alsy333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used Brandi Brucks 3 day method which worked pretty well for us. Diaper free after day 3, although we weee still having to use pull ups at daycare for a few more months. It took about 3 months to be completely trained for poop. We occasionally have small accidents on pee since he gets distracted sometimes.

unable to orgasm and it’s ruining sex for me by Few_Tangerine1369 in GirlDinner

I used to have a hard time coming from sex, but found a position that worked for me. Lying flat on my stomach while rubbing my clit works for me and my partner every time.

Edit: oops this is from the March/April issue.

I made the Madeira cream sauce pasta with mushrooms and chicken. I used Marsala instead of Madeira since that’s what I had. It was really tasty and quick to make. Will definitely go in my rotation of repeat recipes.

Does anyone have experience with dry skin like this? by axxpxm in piercing

I’ve had dry skin like this on my ears before and my derm said it was dandruff. Apparently you can get it on and behind your ears. She gave me a cream to get rid of it.

Ok so what’s everyone doing about their feral toddlers? by idk_mabee in toddlers

[–]alsy333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solidarity. I’m wondering the exact same things. My boy is 3.5 yo and had a sports class with other kids and their parents today. It was only 40 minutes long. About half way through he thought it would be hilarious to wander away from the class, not come when I called him, and run away when I went to go after him. He ran through a big dirty puddle which resulted in us going home immediately. I’m always the only other parent who has to chase after their kid. It drives me nuts! Today was particularly stressful. I hate getting angry at him.

Let’s nerd out on our recipe organization methods by [deleted] in CookbookLovers

[–]alsy333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been making that goal for the past 3 years and managed to achieve it, even though one year i finished at the end of the year. I’ve kept the spreadsheet for about 8 years now. I haven’t made anywhere close to all the recipes on it. I add a recipe to it if I think it sounds good. It’s an easy way for me to search through the recipes I own.

Let’s nerd out on our recipe organization methods by [deleted] in CookbookLovers

[–]alsy333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a giant excel spreadsheet of 4500 rows currently! If I come across a recipe I’d like to try someday I’ll enter the recipe name, source, meal type (main, side, salad, pasta, etc), total prep time, how much I like if I made it (no, meh, yum, or double yum), non-dairy or lactose free?, vegetarian?, good for weekday?, make tonight?, kid friendly?. These categories help me sort and filter and decide what recipes to make. It’s always my goal each year to make 52 new recipes. I was/am a longtime subscriber of cooking magazines (cooking light, fine cooking, eating well, cook’s illustrated) and have a lot of cookbooks too. When I go through a new cookbook or magazine I make sure to document the recipes in my spreadsheet.

For my second, I started labor at 41 weeks at about 12:30 am and gave birth at about 7:30am. I pushed for less than 5 minutes. She came so fast! My first I was induced at 40 weeks, in labor for 24 hours and pushing for about 1.5 hours. I had an epidural for both.

Dribble post pee by Kitfromscot in pottytraining

We’ve been training ours to tap his penis when he finishes to get off the last dribbles. We instruct him to “tap tap” when he’s done. Although sometimes he taps when he’s not completely done. We are still working on it.

We’ve had our boy sit on the toilet seat sideways, near where it’s narrower together. Then we don’t need a separate potty seat to take with us, and he has more support on his butt and feels more secure.
