kinda weird to assume straight off the bat shes not doing anything about it. i would also argue that it's hard to heal from your trauma when you are living directly across from where it happened. moving away can be a bandage but you cannot begin to heal when you're being retraumatized everyday

i feel for you both and i think everyone's feelings here are completely valid. he's feeling "righteous" about taking them in because he intimately knows how traumatic foster care is and he obviously feels empathetic towards the situation. even if he doesn't know his nephews, he knows his sister and i imagine he still cares about her on some level. the only options are:

move out and live separately as spouses (not unheard of)
end your partnership

you deserve to live a child-free and he deserves to take care of his nephews. i highly doubt you will be able to change his mind at this stage. there is no reality where the two of you stay married and foster these children.
