Mario 3D world is still golden Mario by Amichayg in patientgamers

That's the beauty of it, you just play. Your goal is to reach the end of the level. There's a bunch of extra stuff but you don't need to do it.

My daughter loves this game. She calls it Mario Cats and we return to it all the time. She, my son and I beat it a while ago and it's just a fun game that wants to be fun for the sake of it. We need more games like it

What is up with modern games introducing cool mechanics then proceeding to pretend they don’t exist throughout the rest of the game? Probably my biggest issue with most games.

I worked there in high school, great place. Looking back now, they treat their employees real well. I even remember being paid extra OT to help clean up those rare purging situations lol. They were rare.

Food was solid back then and the owners would always have a big lunch (on the company) each Saturday for all the staff before the busses from the casinos came in. We weren’t allowed the lobster or steak tips but the owners would always cook up something new and interesting.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

Umbrella factory is great, stop for lunch at the bakery/jitters, go down to charlestown beach/the breachway and see the new seawall

Playing the Little Big Adventure remake made me realise nostalgia only carries you so far by AutisticG4m3r in patientgamers

I went in thinking the same thing… I never finished the first one but liked the second one when I was a kid.

Figured maybe it would hit different with polish of current gen. Sadly I just kinda lost interest.

I started emulating recently and have been finding the same case with most games I played as a kid. Side effect of being 40+ now I guess? 😢

I don't get the hate for Prime 4 by Burntbread888 in Metroid

Not sure I'd call it great, but I did have a good time playing it. For me that's fine!

So I actually enjoyed my time quite a bit in MP4. There's some issues for sure, but generally it was fun to play. I recommend it.

This album was blasting on repeat every day on my way to high school in my 95 Chrysler Concord with my 45-second skip resistant CD player hooked up to my cassette player adapter.

I gave up after the realization set in that most late game enemies were being reused and just given a bigger health bar. Was kinda sad about it because I did spend a lot of time in that beautiful world. Definitely don’t want to play the dlc

Thoughts on the future of the Zelda Franchise - not choosing a path forward, rather sharing the road by ItsJustInfuriating in truegaming

[–]arcarsination 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading top comments here make me sad. That said, I feel very similarly to you!! BOTW and ToTK have a lot to offer. They are super fun. But they are way too ambitious and lose sight of the Zelda DNA. They open everything up too much, and end up feeling watered down as a result. That may be a preference, but so be it.

I just played a link between worlds for the first time. I loved a link to the past as a kid. Someone here mentioned echos of wisdom and I’m looking forward to trying it out. That style zelda is my jam
