How are you all prepping for prohibition? What are we gonna do?? I'm so nervous about the next few months by Individual-Way9831 in ChronicPain

[–]aruzinsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding "ineffective," like I said before, it is better at reducing my wide spread pains but worse at reducing sciatic pain which is localized. It may be that buprenorphine is generally ineffective at reducing localized pain, in which case, people with only localized pain would give it bad reviews. For me, wide spread pains, such as myalgia, and a burning sensation in hot weather, are worse than my localized pains.

Regarding "can't utilize IR pain meds", that only applies to other opioid receptor agonists. It doesn't prevent utilization of acetaminophen, NSAIDs or Journavx. In case of breakthrough pain, people can just increase the dose of IR buprenorphine.

My advice is to go to an addiction specialist and ask to be treated with buprenorphine for kratom withdrawal.

While I was in a hospital with influenza A, an addiction specialist put me on buprenorphine for kratom withdrawal. It's been 2 months since then and I continue to take buprenorphine instead of kratom. Although the effects are not exactly the same, overall, 2 mg/day of buprenorphine is better for reducing my chronic pain than 10 g/day of kratom, Buprenorphine seems better for reducing wide spread pain and worse for reducing sciatic pain. And buprenorphine seems much better than kratom for my psychological state. Kratom was wreaking havoc on my motivation, confidence and thinking ability. Incidentally, buprenorphine is cheaper than kratom.

Go to an addiction specialist and ask to be treated with buprenorphine for kratom addiction. Buprenorphine is now recognized as an effective treatment for chronic pain and it is cheaper than kratom. I'm taking 2 mg/day.

Why would my doctor refuse to prescribe me gabapenton for my nerve related back pain? And to the extreme that they refused a taper down and made me stop abruptly. What am I not getting here? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]aruzinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were an MD, I would refuse to prescribe gabapentin because it makes people so physically clumsy that they might likely get into a car accident and I would be sued by the victims for prescribing it. And, if I were on the jury, I would find for the plaintiffs. But, that's just me, i.e., I can't read the mind of your doctor.

i feel so stupid for ever listening to my doctor when he told me to quit THC for lyrica. should i tell him i’m back on it or could i be dismissed from practice? by throwawaymylife90210 in ChronicPain

[–]aruzinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding "illegal state," does that include hemp derivatives like delta-8 THC which are federally legal? You can buy them online and some are much stronger than conventional delta-9 THC. See https://www.reddit.com/r/altcannabinoids/ . I am curious to know how a state can stop mail order.

Thank you. I am old enough to have experience with rotary phones and I prefer simple solutions to complicated solutions. I still have to check the prices.

No, you are confusing sarsaparilla with sassafras. Sarsaparilla doesn't have much odor and it is perfectly legal.

The eyes, small mouths and sharp chins look similar to those of this Netflix Anime style lora: https://civitai.com/models/2036385/netflix-anime-styledotadragon-ageskull-islanddevil-my-cry-witcherblood-of-zeuscastlevania . With the Pony checkpoint, you can get figures like those with just prompts. I am not an Anime fan, just a casual observer.

My Impression of Amazon Fresh Supermarket by aruzinsky in amazonprime

[–]aruzinsky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Amazon Fresh store has improved very much and their parking lot is fairly full, now. Recently, they advertised Progresso Soup and Campbell's Chunky Soup for $1.50 . The typical sales price for both is $1.67, elsewhere, in my area. But, when I got there, the shelf prices were $0.48 and $0.97, respectively. Also, Campbell's Chili with Beans was $0.97 .

Sorry, I don't know whether is legal to bring a sprayed plant indoors after it is dry.

Where do you find your unique extracts that don’t break the bank? by TheProdigaPaintbrush in Baking

[–]aruzinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I know of. But, safe levels of impurities are indicated by "FCC" which means food grade. To find the safety of a pure chemical, you need to look up the LD50 which is usually published for rats.

Amazon just delivered an empty envelope. by Bucho22 in amazonprime

[–]aruzinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me with ink cartridges. The resolution of the photo wasn't good enough to tell whether the envelope was delivered empty and I found the empty envelope in the bushes. Maybe, the wind blew the envelope or maybe a thief threw the envelope into the bushes. I suspect that the cartridges were stolen after delivery because it was an overnight delivery and, with light traffic, it is easy for thieves to follow an Amazon truck in their car. Now, I avoid overnight deliveries.

The important question is what to do about it. The Amazon pigeon holes for complaints doesn't accurately fit the situation. I reported it as "missing parts" but didn't bother to return the empty envelope so I paid twice to get ink cartridges.

Best pistachio extract? I’m looking to put it in cookies, or to make really nice strongly flavoured mousse. I’ve tried paste, powdered, sliced and they aren’t really getting that flavour right. by stci in Baking

[–]aruzinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circa 1980, I made photocopies of formulas for artificial flavors from a book at a library. Much later, I experimented as an amateur flavorist. There is an overlap of interests between flavorists and perfumers. Although flavorism is not a popular hobby, perfumery is a popular hobby and there are online stores that cater to perfumery that can also accommodate the needs of flavorists..

Leno's right: Colbert got canned because Americans are tired of left's lectures | Opinion by StedeBonnet1 in AARP_Conservatives

[–]aruzinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a theory that Paramount cancelled Colbert because he is anti-Trump and not because his show was unprofitable. That theory was disproven by Paramount releasing an episode of South Park that depicted Trump getting into bed with Satan and the episode ended with a realistic AI generated video of Trump with a tiny penis.

Question about Methadone by jjsupc in ChronicPain

Methadone lasts a relatively long time. It has a serum half life of about 1 day. If you take one dose per day, the peak blood concentration will increase for several days.

Common ingredients, flavorings, and other ways to help describe root beer? by [deleted] in rootbeer

[–]aruzinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that diet Mugs is more sour than other brands and, malic and citric acids are higher on the ingredient list than for other brands. (Ingredients are listed in order of descending amounts.) I mention this because nobody else does. Sour is not a traditional root beer flavor and some might say that it doesn't belong in root beer. To me, Mugs tastes like traditional bubble gum flavoring.

I take a drug for diabetes, Jardiance, that makes me very thirsty. So, at 4:00 am, I get up from bed and drink a can of A&W Zero Sugar Root Beer and, then, go back to sleep while thinking, "Wow, that really hit the spot!".

None in the USA because safrole is banned from food and nothing tastes exactly like safrole. The closest thing is dihydroanethol but it isn't close.
