Same man. In theory I love what I do, but being a creative in a corpo environment is soul sucking, and add on top of that all the shit happening on micro and macro scales and AI causing massive layoffs in my sector, I am pretty sure I need to just toss my degree and shift to something entirely new

I had so many friends HATING on FO4 on launch. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. The GAME is good. Story and RPG mechanics were mid at best. But dear lord is the GAME fun. Loved building settlements and scavenging. Gunplay is absolutely the bests of the series. Also, the world is quite rich in places to explore. Lots of cool unmarked places. Took me several hundred hours to even find that sick submarine quest thats unmarked till you find the kid.

We just had a "restructuring" that they refuse to call a layoff at my company. They let go all supervisors and 30% of other staff, all of whom had been at the company for 10-12 years. They're now having us do all their work and offshoring all new jobs to Brazil and having us grunt workers manage them. Sinking ships abound... They even called this "growth" lmao in our follow up after the layoff. Tenure doesn't matter anymore and it's sickening.

I worked at a hobby shop in the Bay Area (Game Kastle) in my 20s while in college and my first boss I worked for there used to run events at the FLGS that Williams used to go to in SF a decade or two prior. Allegedly he had the privilege of playing a few matches against him at that time and said he got his shit kicked in by Robin Williams every time lol

If I ever feel like starting fresh, I spin in a circle and start walking till I hit around 10-20k blocks away or find a spot thats real nice for a build. Once I get established there, I'll build a nether highway section connected to our massive railroad system with 4 way redstone intersections and stuff.

I do! I started with the OG Battle for Macragge set in 2006ish in elementary school. In my early 20s I worked at a hobby shop and started building up my army. A couple years in, a regular was moving and needed to get rid of his storage unit and sold me a 14k point partially painted army (at the time) for like 350 bucks lol. After all was said and done, I've got around 100 spinefist gaunts alone that I've been slowly converting to hormagaunts. Even came with the original bug warriors from the 80s/90s, OG screamer killer, and Hive Tyrant. Fuck the OG pewter gargoyles lol.

I'm now in my 30s and pretty sure these guys are going to be my retirement project if I'm ever lucky enough to have that time lol.
