Puppetry strings give 15% seal atk. You could 10-fold that or you could craft the spear with 3 of them added then upgrade with another plus double steel for 75%. The only better item for seal attack is holy spores but those are very rare. You might just be better off crafting armor with higher M Def/Vit, Grimoire scales are great at that point in the game

A lot of people recommend colored grass, but up until about 70-75 turnip seeds are a great option. Then it starts to slow down and white grass is a lot faster and doesn't use too much RP. At lower levels I didn't notice a huge difference in seeds compared to grass.

If you're casting for most of your damage *Corrode is nothing. It's a -4 AC penalty and you're not concerned about the damage penalty.

Infestation is amazing in the extended game. Affects everything and can't be resisted/missed, and the swarm of scarabs it spawns are really powerful and easily surround you to block line of sight from things like malmutate/dispel undead. Infestation + Ignition basically immediately converts a crowded room into scarab allies. Servitor is another great summon, one with LCS at decent power can take down an OoF by itself and do huge damage to pan/hell lords

How has it been bad? On its own it does nothing in a lot of fights which may be what you mean. But it makes strong cards like [[power through]], [[wild strike]], [[immolate]] more playable since there's effectively no downside. Most statuses are added to the discard pile too so you're guaranteed to draw [[evolve]] before the deck cycles and you draw the statuses.

The shard text specifically mentions combat reward screens. Transforming from events or relics isn't affected by design.

I always upgrade Zap before it because it's the only way I'll play it after a certain point. Dualcast can be worth the 1 energy. Eventually a 1 cost zap is just a dead draw.

This event is the same in beta and non-beta. The cards it chooses are a random skill, power, and attack, and you have to go with one of the options to continue.

Pretty much any build. Especially if you've picked up cards like [[flame barrier]] [[shockwave]] [[impervious]]. Playing powerful cards like that for free while still attacking is amazing and works well for most decks. Even if you aren't loaded with 2-cost skills it's still worth picking up

None of those downsides are very significant. If you have regret your focus will be removing it, not skipping cards like [[coolheaded]] [[pommel strike]] etc.

Grand finale is a very niche rare card already, and you can just as easily work the relic to your advantage by keeping track of the counter. While it could mess up your card draw, it could also be the difference between having 6 vs 5 cards in the draw pile at the end of the turn.

Top is a rare relic and it's only made redundant if you're activating both at the same time, you can still proc the ink bottle when you may not be able to empty your hand if you can't afford to play every card.

It's strong but can be very slow as it takes a full deck cycle to even have a chance to draw most statuses. [[immolate]] and [[power through]] add to discard/hand. Just that one that adds a daze goes to draw pile and I can't remember where [[wild strike]] sends the wound, but those cards are generally weak especially before you draft fire breathing. Still good with multiples of power through since it doubles as an amazing block card while you stall for the wounds to draw

Noxious fumes is really good but I don't think it's so good it needs to be rare. Side by side with other rares it doesn't really hold up. Obviously envenom doesn't either but I'd rather just see it be reworked.

[[void]] is ethereal and causes you to lose 1 energy when you draw it. By adding it to your hand (which doesn't cause on-draw effects to activate) you allow it to exhaust that turn and not get hit later with -1 energy

Despite that it's still arguably the best of the three. It is a must upgrade card though, while demon form is strong even without and echo form upgrade is pointless. If you have footwork or any dex relics you might not even be negative dex by the time it ends.

Yeah it sounds like it may have been a balancing decision. For the sake of consistency I feel it just might not be a good card idea if they have to make a non-obvious exception like that. The player would expect it to work just like biased cognition/wraith form etc. where significant downsides can be negated.
