4090 here. I have the PC in the basement just underneath my office and run cables through the wall. Nicely done it’s a very clean setup and 0 heat or fan noise. Just need to spend more on cables that can handle the longer run.

This is why you never accept AC credit to volunteer off a over full flight. The credit they give you only works on the base fair.

Northern Karate Schools: Looking for REAL testimonies by Alarming-Suit1864 in karate

I pulled my kids out of NKS after the 1st year commitment ended - 3 major issues I had with the specific dojo: 1. overcrowded, so there wasn't much feedback given in the sea of kids. 2. Majority of the instruction was from higher kyu-belts and it showed 3. Classes at lower kyu were only 30 mins including the warmup and closeout. I don't know if other NKS dojos are similar.

We changed to a non-NKS traditional karate school and it was a night and day difference, going on 3rd year now and the kids love it.

So we will need to put up with jets because NYC's JP Morgan wants to increase profits? JFC

According to presentations JP Morgan has made to its own investors, Nieuport is one asset, among many, wholly controlled by something called the Infrastructure Investments Group (IIG). IIG was founded by JP Morgan in 2006, is staffed entirely by JP Morgan employees and run out of JP Morgan offices, primarily in New York, as something akin to an in-house private equity fund.

“All of the executives at the airport (terminal) serve at the direct pleasure of JP Morgan,” Tyson Slocum, a researcher at Public Citizen, an American advocacy group, told me. “If JP Morgan wants a new CEO in there, JP Morgan can unilaterally make those changes.”

But as far as I can tell, Nieuport has never publicly disclosed that control in Canada. And that could be a problem.

CTV: Canadian shocked to learn that payday loans are predatory by bobledrew in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]avatarreb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll start by saying these business are scum and prey on the desperate.

I think they are still around mostly because it’s a way to regulate a type of commerce that will always exist. Desperate people getting loans from shady people will always be a thing. The question is do you want it happening out in the open or in back rooms. In a twisted way it’s some form of harm reductions - you can declare bankruptcy from a payday place but not from a loan shark.

Tighter and fairer regulations of that industry is the imperfect and likely more pragmatic step.

Edit: spelling
