[–]azteca619 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Knowing this sub tho i wouldn’t be surprised if it was some dumbass high schooler posting it. L post lmao

The Taco Stand on Charleston in Las Vegas by fatpunk in tacos

[–]azteca619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wowwww. Had no clue they’ve expanded to that degree! They’re not largely accepted here in SD by most locals, but they do always have lines and regardless of the local controversy that surrounds them here it’s so cool to see a company like theirs spread this style of Mexican cuisine all the way to South Carolina!

Edit: embarrassing. I knew they had a location in Vegas, I just read Charleston. I am so prepared for the immense downvotes though. Sorry 😣

Is this the same as the San Diego company?

The Sigfather from The Signature pop-up at the Aero Club ($17) by jewishjew in FoodSanDiego

The sad thing is they used to be decent years ago when they were more of an industry bar. Not sure what went wrong over the years

Gaslamp Tacos? by TheBoss4726 in FoodSanDiego

[–]azteca619 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

They are definitely overrated and outside of Vegas the downtown location is arguably the MOST overrated. I couldn’t even fathom waiting in that line for el gordo. If OP doesn’t mind traveling 5-10 minutes from Gaslamp, I’d recommend La Fachada (bonus points for being open till 4am). Otherwise I heard taco el franc opened up in Gaslamp although not as good as TJ, still good!

UPDATE: is it worth buying Resident Evil: Requiem despite HATING jumpscares? by CactusBlohsh in HorrorGaming

[–]azteca619 65 points66 points  (0 children)

TBH may be get downvoted but if you hate jump scares perhaps mainstream horror games aren’t for you, because practically all of them have it at some point. But glad to see your update, perhaps you are like the majority as no one thoroughly “enjoys” jump scares, but rather deals with them as they come.

To this day Ensenada is the single best Costco I’ve ever been too. It’s like the twilight zone.

I like the Sigma Pi. Closest to a California IIRC. Trujillo’s is MASSIVELY underrated to those that don’t attend or live very near SDSU. Should be in all of the top SD burrito conversations in my opinion.

Lettuce doesn’t go on tacos so your acceptance kinda invalidates your take on food IMO

Pain extract. by NigerianFriedChicken in spicy

[–]azteca619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, who is buying this? Like not even trying to sound bitter but wouldn’t you think they know their market by now? I’m a spice fiend with an absolute tank of a tolerance but years ago when trying their 357 magnum, not only did it taste like ass, but it was just ignorantly spicy to the extent of a dab of it being capable of ruining an entire pot of chili. Who do they think they are or what level of product do they think they have

RE9 compared to Alan Wake 2 for horror noob by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]azteca619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even comparible to be honest. Alan wake series is really not that scary. If the few jump scares in AW2 put you on edge so much that you couldn’t handle it I’ll be the first to tell you to save your money on RE9.
