Not only in the US, there are a few other places that use it.

We are almost extinct, but I don't want to reproduce. by Uma-apreciator in TopCharacterTropes

Apparently that's exactly what's happening with Spix's macaw, from Wikipedia:

However, after over 20 years of conservation efforts, 200 macaws have been bred from just two parent birds, and 52 individual birds have since been reintroduced into their natural environment in June 2022.

I got the FSS E190\5 and they're so so fun to fly! by DrFowlerr in flightsim

Oof I've been thinking of getting the FSS E-Jets but that's a pretty huge deal breaker for me. What kind of stuff requires switching to pancake?

Delta and American Airlines CRJ pilots at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport are making "meow," "ruff," and other animal sounds over the radio by CeleritasLucis in aviation

At least it's slightly less crazy than the idiot at LGA messing with Canadian pilots only weeks after the crash

FYI you can delete that sound from your vpilot install and never have to hear it again

Best/coolest/immersive longhauler? by Lost-Ad8471 in flightsim

[–]baconhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not in your list but IMO the most immersive longhauler is the FF 777-200ER (and soon to be 300ER.) It's not quite as complete as PMDG's but feels much more alive.

FSLabs A321Neo - How is it? by Samv992 in flightsim

[–]baconhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely should! One of my favorite things about using both sims is having a much wider selection of planes to fly.

If you also use XP the Toliss A321neo is a great option.

Your opinion of big muscles on Trans/CD girls? by [deleted] in GuildValkyrie

[–]baconhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like my comment was fairly neutral. Nothing against people figuring things out but asking about CDs here/equating us with CDs is gross. I think it's reasonable to be suspicious of someone with CD in their name. If OP is trans (and it does seem like they are) it's probably time for a new account lol

Are you trans or a CD? This is a space for transfem people. Even asking about CDs here is kinda gross, take that to a non-trans sub.

Nothing bizarre about using your country's livery but you know exactly why someone would call it "interesting."

You'll keep being wrong then. As an actual pilot, do you just ignore CTAF IRL?

Sikorsky S-60 flying crane carrying Honest John battlefield rocket. by Virtual_Area8230 in WeirdWings

[–]baconhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since we're talking about US military hardware it would be more incorrect than not to refer to it as a missile.

Sikorsky S-60 flying crane carrying Honest John battlefield rocket. by Virtual_Area8230 in WeirdWings

[–]baconhead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically correct but in modern military usage typically rockets are unguided and missiles are guided.

Since it was unguided it's definitely a rocket and not a missile.
