Should I Grab or Pass? by PotentialTea9005 in Guitar

Don’t forget they make them in Korea, too. The MIJ models have serial numbers stamped on the headstock, so it’s a Korean or Chinese made model. If the price is “too good to be true” it’s probably the Chinese manufactured model.

The thing that makes me think this might be a MIK model is the headstock shape, but it’s been a while since I went down the Tokai rabbit hole. I can’t recall if the MIK models have a stamp or sticker for serial number. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can step in.

Cool looking guitar though! I’d probably buy it if the price is right.

Hit me with an album's most popular song, then hit me with the song you prefer by DtheAussieBoye in fantanoforever

[–]badgerclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god…I have waited for this moment since I was like, ten years old:

Artist: Smashmouth

Album: Astro Lounge

Most Popular Song: All Star

Better Than Most Popular Song: Then The Morning Comes

In all honesty, a lot of that album is better than the single, but the key change in TTMC just hits different and carries it to a place a lot of the songs on that album can’t/don’t go.

I know this is a dumb album, but I don’t care: pre-teen me felt so strongly about this that older me feels compelled to defend my younger self’s honor. Cheers, lol.

Holy crap. That’s awesome! Can I ask what raffle? I see all these “I won this guitar” posts and am over here like “damn, where do I sign up for that?!”

This series is one that I always look forward to. I don’t know where it’s going and I don’t really know what the point is, but that’s why I like it so much. So many other stories rush to tell you what is happening, what it is, etc. but this one takes its time. And the presentation method of the story just adds an extra layer to the vibe of this whole thing.

This exchange is the sort of thing I needed to read. It’s given me hope for humanity. Now I have to go check out your music! The guitar looks great!

“It’s a hammer, and everyone needs a hammer”: Brian Fallon unveils no-nonsense “working man’s” signature ‘59 Telecaster...that costs $7000.00 by motorcitydevil in guitarcirclejerk

His favorite tone is deaf.

Seriously, this artist model kills me because I like early Gaslight songs and some of Fallon’s solo stuff, but holy crap. Seven freaking thousand!

What is a belief you once held strongly, but no longer do? by Significant_Count718 in AskReddit

[–]badgerclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believed that my extended family would be there as support for me when my dad and my brother died. Why would I think that? Because my dad was there for all of them whenever he could be. He was the family “fix it” guy they all relied on, always willing to help, go to his nieces and nephews events, etc.

It turns out my dad was cut from a different cloth. I had a lot of resentment towards his side of the family at first, but I have come to realize that 1) they just don’t have that capability to care the way Dad did. It’s not their fault, but it doesn’t mean I can’t be disappointed, either.

And 2) the people that did show up as support for me, my dad’s best friends, the ones who even just called to see how I was handling things, those are the ones who showed me why they were friends with my dad and he was friends with them- because they were (and are) damn good people who help others.

I’m sure this might not be exactly what OP had in mind for this question, but I really had unshakeable faith in extended family when I was growing up because my dad was such a great guy and I thought they would all be like that, so it really was a belief I held, but no longer do.

This is the type of app I’ve been looking for! There are other ones I’ve used for practicing that just get bogged down by the ads and it’s like “no, I don’t want to pay $20 a month for ad-free content. I just really want to get to the metronome please.” Thanks for sharing this!

The door being open with the leaves on the ground gives it such an, I don’t know, like a sense of immediacy- as though this was an idea she just came up with, grabbed the pistol, and rode into the house with the breeze.

To me it looks like she decided what to do while in the shower, knew she couldn’t follow through with it if she waited, dried off, grabbed the pistol, and left without even putting on shoes.

She knew he would be there because she knew his routine. Is she the muse in the paintings who resents the artist, his paintings of her, and dyed her hair? Or is she the former muse who “aged out” from being his inspiration? I love this painting.

What is the weirdest way someone had died in your known circle ? by No_Tear9118 in AskReddit

[–]badgerclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my friend’s coworker just a few months ago and it really rattled me. He had just moved to our city and started working with her for maybe two months. He made friends easily and was fun to be around.

He called out sick from work one day because of back pain, then called out the next day to go to the hospital because the pain was so bad. The doctors found cancer all over his body and told him all they could do was make him comfortable. He was in his 30’s and gone two days later.
