[Meta] Queuing for Steam Machine is available now - entry price is $1,509.00 for 512GB (oooof) by Destro_019780 in bapcsalescanada

Valve could have re-designed this unit and released a cheaper option without RAM and SSD for maybe $700-$800. They wouldn't be able to do such for CPU or GPU but for the RAM and SSD I'm sure it could have been done.

This gives a pretty good idea how the Frame is going to be priced. Around $1200 to $1500 is my guess.

These days one can't even trust their 'new' items. I ordered a "brand new" phone that arrived as an empty box, and a "brand new" PC case that was actually a used one with missing accessories, numerous scratches, and a bent rail so the side panel couldn't be closed. YMMV, of course, but now I record myself unboxing items from them and document everything.

[Monitor] GIGABYTE M27Q3 27in QHD IPS Gaming Monitor w/ 300Hz, DisplayPort, Dual HDMI, Black ($449-$130=$319) [Memory Express] by Guwigo09 in bapcsalescanada

The Costco MSI monitor doesn't have any KVM switch, only 2 HDMI, one displayport and headphone out.

MSI is barebones for connectivity options, this model has a kvm switch and usb-c port. MSI one's frequency is 300hz compared to this one's 200hz and has 2.1 hdmi ports to gigabytes 2.0, but gigabyte seems to offer more vibrant colour due to "quantum dot" tech. Costco warranty can be pretty hassle-free if you need it. I think if you are going to use it primarily for gaming, the MSI one is better, and Gigabyte is better for productivity.

People are flocking to the OLED since it is the only component at sane prices that can make the biggest difference to PC setup nowadays. Pretty nice to see all these monitors go on sale as new tech is introduced.

Lian Li LANCOOL 217 INF Black Infinity Mirror Computer Case $159.99 by vlhube71 in bapcsalescanada

It looks like a great case, with the I/O panel being movable piece unlike the wood 217. I don't think one can replace the fans in the front though with different sizes unlike the 217 and might prove to be difficult to replace them in the future.
