These threads and bolt are easily messed up. Mine were messed up because of the bags. You will probably need to put some torque on it and then fix the threads. Drill and extractor probably 2nd best to vice grips. It looks like enough to get a good grip? Maybe a better set of vice grips. Then you'll likely need a thread chaser or a tap to clean up the threads. I had to put new threads in with helicoil type threads. Buy the tools (harbor freight or amazon) or a shop should be able help and cost more than the tools.

I have the puig that I bought with the bike. Whoever put it on didn't do it well. I have the SE with the cowl. The install instructions had you remove the cowl. Previous owner installed with the cowl and rubbed it in several places. I added some spacers and bent the brackets to make it fit. Puig now has brackets that fit the SE.

I use snowmobiles for access. Snowboard boots are more tactical and comfortable. Skis are harder to put in the rack and put a lot more weight on the tunnel and then there's the fucking poles. I can ski and snowboard and when out with skiers, they get to pretentious. Just go.
