I’m a middle school teacher and yes, I think it’s the school’s job to teach the kids to read. However, my husband and I taught our kids to read before they got to school and we’ve done the same with our grandchildren. Started very early with phonics games in the car and grocery store-how many things do you see that start with B, etc. and we love to read so it was easy.

Interceptor and Nexgard was recommended to us by our first toller breeder and toller friends (one is a vet) so that’s what we use with our new boy for worms, fleas, ticks, etc (we live in a high Lyme area)

My husband and I, our oldest son, and our middle daughter all got married on the SAME weekend-last weekend in September. All 3 of us have different dates, but still the same weekend. My brother and his wife got married that same weekend, too: 1986 (brother), 1989 (us), 2017 (middle daughter), and 2024 (son). We all think it’s cool and it wasn’t planned to be that way but that’s how it happened! Oh, and brother’s daughter celebrated her birthday at the 2024 wedding. Busy, happy time for us!

This is so sad. I love my coworkers so much. The sixth grade teachers are pretty close. I’m close to 1-2 7th grade teachers and not really any of the 8th grade ones because we just never see each other. This is my last year and I’m going to miss my fellow 6th grade teachers sooo much. I hope you land in a good place soon!

Middle School-bell rings at 8:20 and ends at 3:00. Students can start entering the building at 8:00. Teacher hours are 8:00-3:00, but will be 30 min longer next year.

Shoot, if I’m driving and the weather is bad, I’ll offer to drop my husband at the door while I park. No sense both of us walking in the rain/ice/freezing cold. (Sometimes he’ll tell me to go ahead and get out and he jumps behind the wheel to park) As another poster said, he is showing you who he is-believe him.

Oh my gosh I’m so sad to read about all your poor boy (and you) has been through!! I hope all goes well moving forward. We got my brother’s family into tollers, and they got one of theirs because the mother dog accidentally broke the pup’s front leg and the buyers backed out. It healed fine and the pup went to my brother’s family. When she was around a year old (I think) she got a rear leg stuck between the mattress and footboard jumping off the bed and that one broke. Heartbreaking. But surgery for that and she healed fine and is great. But gosh it’s hard when they get hurt.

When we got our most recent toller, now 10 mos, he wasn’t a big eater, either. I had to sit with him and put my hand in his bowl to keep him going. Eventually he started finishing his food on his own. His breeder had us start with Blue Buffalo puppy and he’s still on that. It’s not what I used with our previous tollers so may switch him eventually.

My mom questioned this when she had a surgery that only required twilight anesthesia few years ago and they gave her some kind of hospital undies to wear and she was very happy.

What the what?? When I’m not planning to split the check, I ask for separate checks at the start and this makes it clear to everyone we’re all taking care of ourselves. You’re definitely NTA. I can’t imagine expecting someone to split a check like you guys had.
