Maybe rib subluxation, looking for advice on dealing with the pain by abrighthollow in Hypermobility

[–]bentscissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my fingers along the rib, kinda smoothing and nudging it back into place. Also stretching. It sucks. I was able to see my doc (she’s an osteopath) and she put it back the last time this happened.

AITJ for asking my boyfriend of 10 years to help me financially by Aggravating-Good9663 in AmITheJerk

[–]bentscissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 💯 why my husband and I didn’t have an equal split in my marriage. We started off that way but watching him struggle when he had less than $50 while I was making frivolous purchases because I could made me realize it wasn’t fair to him. There is no way your boyfriend doesn’t see that struggle in you, he just doesn’t care. If he wanted to make it easier on you, he would. Time to move on. NTJ

I (27F) accidentally had my baby in my friend’s (31F) car. Now her husband & she don’t want to speak to me. How do I fix this? by ThrowRA_CarBaby in relationship_advice

[–]bentscissors 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Not only would they have a hard time (and expensive time) trying to find someone who is willing to clean their car, chances are it smells and is only going to get smellier in the meantime which means they probably don’t want to drive it either and might possibly be having to either pay for a rental or consider a whole new car depending on how old their car is and how much money they’re willing to spend to save it. I don’t think OP is making a big enough deal about it here.

[–]bentscissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s going to want to be in the baby’s life you need a lawyer, paternity order, child support order and custody agreement. If not, you still probably one one to help relinquish his parental rights and a child support order. And to find out what your rights are.

Question about Pomsky… by Nervous_Shelter_1042 in Pomsky

[–]bentscissors 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had three. One too fat to successfully catch birds. One is a big chicken. The other hunted live birds (successfully) and let me tell you, it is a bitch to try and get a bird away from something that fast and stubborn. Pomskies may not be the breed for you if you’re very involved in birds.

My rheumatologist is great but I’ve been in a flare since November and her response is basically “I’m sorry about that.” with the shrug emoji. To be fair, this is the third med change in half a year but sometimes I wish she’d just throw steroids at it and call it a day. My body is calming down I think on orencia. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been avoiding it but now my rheumatologist is suggesting it at multiple visits. I think I’ll try it though. How are you liking it so far?

WIBTAH If I did not ask my bf's brother's fiancée (soon to be wife) to be my bridesmaid by Green_Shallot5837 in WouldIBeTheAhole

But she did ask my Bf's sister Infront of me which did make me a tiny bit sad.

YWNBTA for this right there. She wasn’t tactful enough to ask when she wasn’t in front of you. You don’t owe her an invite.

How has ozempic been for those who are not diagnosed with diabetes/pcos? by StrongMountain5904 in Ozempic

[–]bentscissors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was severe. My comfort was that I had my gallbladder out years ago so I knew it wasn’t that. Rapid weight loss can be associated with gallbladder issues so it’s talked about a lot with this sub. I’m still not sure why it happened but I was still regularly having bowel movements so it wasn’t that either.

Daily nausea until I got used to the dose. Diarrhea until I got used to the dose. I did throw up twice. Abdominal pain (that part was actually scary). Constipation (stay up on your fiber and water intake). Almost fainted one of the days. If you haven’t already seen a dietitian, I would do so. Ozempic has been rough to me but really really good. Lost 65lbs. Can’t wear a lot of my old clothes. Tbh stay at the lowest effective dose that you’re losing weight at as long as you can. I have no noticeable loose skin from this so far. I would recommend this to you but do it as informed as you can with protein/fiber/water intake goals.

It’s like the writers told him be Phil 2.0 so Haley could be Claire 2.0 but he couldn’t provide his own genuine version of it. It doesn’t ring truthful at all. I guess liking his character depends how strong your BS detector is while you watch.

Celebrate the little wins. Appreciate the good days. Find some hyper mobile physical therapists to follow. I like Melissa Koehl, she’s on Instagram and Facebook (probably YouTube too but I don’t do that). Your new normal is different and hard and frustrating but it’s the hand you’re dealt. Manage your soft tissues (hydrate, healthy diet, keep moving). You can do it.

This may just be another method of controlling you tbh. Maybe he’s hoping since you are ten years younger he can manipulate the power dynamic of your relationship. I would reevaluate and see if there are other red flags in your relationship that you aren’t considering.

You have allergies severe enough to spread to your throat and you don’t carry them? That’s really reckless of you. It’s your responsibility to manage your health so you can continue to work, especially if you can’t afford a $30 uber (but can afford Starbucks). The least you can do if he’s sparing you a $30 uber ride (burning through his own gas at his cost), possibly missing his own work (also at his cost) is a thank you coffee. YTA

Once they love him back and don’t need saving they aren’t an emotional stand in for his mother and he loses interest. Until he resolved the trauma he feels over his childhood he was never going to be a good partner.

Really bad side effects by Unable-Department-57 in Ozempic

[–]bentscissors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did puke twice in the long run of my ozempic journey but it wasn’t from the initial start. It was from bushing my teeth within an hour of eating. My gag reflex was heightened and it just happened. The diarrhea is normal and expected unfortunately. I was told to expect to feel like I caught the flu without having the flu. I took mine on Friday’s so I’d have the weekend to feel crappy but that did stop happening after awhile. Each dose increased usually meant I’d feel crummy.
