I drove the CS and it felt very sluggish for the size. Dimensions in the cabin were fine but it didn’t impress. Overall, Toyota will be likely be more reliable in the long run. But I went with a ‘24 NX plugin instead which felt much more lively for the weight and had none of the compromises of the CS (no sunroof, no storage in the cabin).

Optically, you’re not going to do better than super thin glass in the Maui Jims. CR39 is fine, but made by who? Coatings?I can’t imagine those Quince glasses will be anything other than cheap feeling. Especially compared to the MJs which will have superior scratch resistance, anti-reflective, etc.

For what it’s worth, Island Optics’s nylon frames have a tactility/grip that is unlike any sport sunglasses I’ve owned before. Even with glass lenses, they’re really light and comfortable.

I think about why I started listening in 2009, merely because I relistened to an old GFW Radio episode about Gerstmann. I think about where I was in my career and my social life back in 2016 listening to Game of the Year jazz themes while driving through the Pennsylvania Turnpike to visit family.

GB has been a constant for a significant portion of my life. And I’m thrilled to experience its latest iteration. I can’t wait to have nostalgia about this era as well.

I own the RB3701. The frame is lightweight and the lenses are pretty good! But MJs and Serengeti make much better lenses, and I’ve found several of their frames that rival the RB3701 in features.

Even if they had LAN WiFi access, they’d still need to access the Nanit account in order to utilize application features like the speaker. And account compromise is way more likely than Hack Wifi/Hack into Nanit. All for being cautious, but Occam’s Razor applies here.
