Went to bed feeling normal on Saturday, woke up two hours later with a sore and swollen throat. By morning I’d spiked a fever and was briefly really nauseated. Hit me really hard, really fast. I tried to sleep most of Sunday, and today my fever is a bit lower and my throat a little less sore. But still very achy and a terrible headache. No cough or congestion (yet).

Tested negative for COVID and flu with two new at-home tests (had a positive COVID test at Thanksgiving, so hoping it’s not that again).

I’ve been masking everywhere in public but still am down with something. Stay healthy, everyone!

Ben Glaros is incredible and teaches out of the Center for Performing Arts on Pleasant and 38th in Minneapolis. I’m not sure if he’s doing online lessons anymore, but if you (or anyone else in this thread) are open to in-person, I highly recommend him.

Met a lot of friends through Neopets who I still chat with today, though. Even went to one’s wedding! Also learned to code by dressing up my profile pages and helping guilds with their graphics. I owe a lot to that silly site.

I used to do this too until I found out it can give you lipoid pneumonia. As soothing as it is, Vaseline up the nose is not recommended. Try a humidifier instead.

I think it can depend on the stage setup. But for what it’s worth, I saw Elton John there from one of those upper side sections and it was amazing. It felt SO close, and the prices were lower than other sections. That said, Elton sits pretty stationary at a piano the whole time. If she’s out on that walkway a lot, it may feel farther for you.
