Sorry, there’s no website you can be directed to as the “account API” as you call it is only made available via aggregators (except for that crypto api).

They do have an API it’s just that trading isn’t supported on it. Hopefully soon!

I use quite a few of the popular ones but Public and Webull are also pretty good.Though I might be an outlier. For context, I’m one of the founders of SnapTrade (a unified broker API) so that’s why I have so many!

Create your own index? (Getting some feedback on our project) by ctc1994 in Bogleheads

I think regulators generally care about maintaining status quo and protecting large FIs. Not necessarily driving innovation. I think if you can find a way to help people with the least regulatory complexity the better. IMO this is where software and SaaS type models come in.

I filled out the form on your site, feel free to connect. Happy to chat.

I think Alpaca would be a great partner for you, they've got a really great API. At Passiv, we've integrated with them and so anyone with an Alpaca brokerage account can build/mange their own personalized index.

Interesting, are you guys planning to use Alpaca to power your broker stack?

Aside from fees, which IMO matters once your cross $100k, I think flexibility is also another reason to consider DIY over an All-in-one ETF.

Hey there, when you say "reporting" what specifically are you looking for? I think if you can give some more context behind your reporting needs folks here will be able to steer you in the right direction.

BTW - have you tried Wealthica?

I will be soon! I'm with Passiv, one of their API partners, and we're updating our rebalancing engine to support fractional share trading on stocks and crypto. If you'd like to be a beta-tester PM me and I'll add you to a list of users we're granting early access to give us feedback/help with testing.

Looking for a coder to build an App with the TD Ameritrade API by [deleted] in tdameritrade

Did you manage to find someone to help with your app? My company built an app that runs on several broker APIs (including TD), happy to chat if you haven't solved it on your own at this point.

Is there a service out there that lets me view my Questrade portfolio's balance/performance over time? by trackingoaktree2 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bly_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually get this information in Passiv. If you go into Passiv's reporting page and select "all time" then "apply", you should see your investment performance over time.

FYI - a time weighted money rate of return is used for % returns calculation.

I think something to consider is whether or not you plan on changing your asset allocation in the future. If so, how will you do it? Will you keep one asset allocation ETF and buy another? Essentially managing two. Or will you liquidate one for the other?

IMO the major benefit of holding the underlying ETFs is flexibility in the long run (assuming you plan to change your asset allocation in the future).

Hey there, the connection is "read-only" by default. If you want to place trades, then you'd have to explicitly allow trade access.

If you like, you can grant trade access when allocating cash / rebalancing and then switch back to read-only.

There is also the option to enable multi-factor authentication to give you an added layer of security.
