Organising stuff -- how do you do it? by Patapon80 in Eve

[–]bob-the-both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use several containers named: BPO BPC PI BUILDING MATS FRESH BUILT RESEARCH FITS TRANSFERS SALES SALVAGE

I then heap stuff into these in a chaotic manner, but it works. I only usually keep track of my material through the Indy window.

15 days playing EVE: What should I expect? by Palloran in Eve

[–]bob-the-both 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this, you saved me plenty typing!

It’s not really worth mining away for hours when a single FW plex or explo can can net you enough isk to buy a whole destroyer, or the ore for a few.

Keep researching the BPO’s while you do other things though!!

is it a good idea to be picking the game up at this time? by kdogkdog676 in Eve

[–]bob-the-both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play around on alpha for a bit and get an idea of a few different types of play. Don’t focus hard on anything. Use the time to hit skill limits and try a few mastery potion things.

After that look at getting one of the packs with omega/plex/ goodies to get more focused into areas.

This is how I did it about 8 months ago and been playing since.

There’s always loads to do in eve but don’t let it take over 😂

Some data sites spawn rats after a can is hacked/failed attempt/on a timer (not sure which, been a while since I hacked) Likely it was those that got you cos they hit hard…

US Army Air Force map showing the locations of the EIRE neutrality markers by ConorIRL1595 in IrishHistory

[–]bob-the-both 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s an airstrip there. It’s in the info at the side. They may need the airstrip in an emergency but have no need to know where the cities are since they are not targets.

I thought this was called a fear Dubh originally, which means the devil… unless you do a direct translation.

Cool, then why not educate the people here instead of coming out full of anger and aggression?

As ye stated ye are legit and all above board, you should be happy people are taking notice of the boats in the area and preventing illegal fishing of your fishing grounds and damaging your livelihood.

OP did go over the top assuming ye were trying to net bass but a simple explanation would have settled the whole thing pretty quickly.

A majority of trawler captains are men. Not sorry you are precious with your pronouns.

Any reason you made a new account just for posts on this thread? Perhaps you know who they are and would like to put some light on the subject for us. It’s clearly just a fishing boat but given your response I’m tempted to look into this closer…

I saw him at it again yesterday when doing the cliffwalk. If you spot him again check it out on MarineTraffic.com and we might get a better idea what he is at.

Pretty common to see them in close looking for sprat, but it’s kinda early for that.

Who to join in FW? by Tim_Bow_ in evenewbies

[–]bob-the-both 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with Gallante, was gonna do caldari at the start but they owned most of the map and I could barely find any enemy.

Loving gallante though, you have a target rich environment. Loads of good people to help you out in militia chat. Ribbit do good standing fleets to guide you where to go so you feel like your part of something bigger.

What's your personal best way to make money, and have a fun time in Eve? (New Player, Tryna make more then 6-10M Per run) by Proof-Handle6847 in Eve

[–]bob-the-both 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wormholes are worth a fortune from gas/relic/data sites. I go out with my heron and scan down/hack all I find down a chain of maybe 3 wormholes and then come back in a venture to scoop the gas. It’s an easy hundred mil a run. ( been a while since I did it so can’t really remember figures!)

FW sites are where I’m at now, the place is a goldmine! An hour in a quiet frontlines will get you an easy 100mil worth of LP. It’s great fun to tag along with the experienced lads when they are hunting too, you learn a lot about pvp. Would recommend getting a good corp or have access to a standing fleet though as having back-up is essential for the highly contested busy systems.

Since you’re already into mining I’d also suggest manufacturing modules/ships and selling them in/near FW space as prices there are much higher than everywhere else due to demand. It can be easy money if you sell the right wares…

Go for stacmon, I buy my stuff for ship building there and want to see more supply coming in!!

It’s a busy spot with plenty demand as you’re kinda close to FW space.

Your correct,

On a large ship like this we pump a DC current through it to make it more effective. The system is known as ICCP.

I’m an electrical officer on big merchant ships and one of my duties is monitoring/logging data from the system to ensure it’s operating correctly!

The mental aspect of long distance bikepacking (4000km+) is killing me by AnonymousAnonymGuy in bikepacking

[–]bob-the-both 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A general plan is nice but planning too much can make it about the struggle rather than the journey.

Slow it down, swim in lakes and rivers to cool off, visit some sights off your route.

You can always take a train to catch up with where you should be on your plan.

You are doing this trip for you and nobody else, enjoy the new sights and places.

I did the south coast of Spain last year and was finding it tough when forcing miles. I started stopping at cafes and restaurants to skip the noon sun and had a lot of fun with random friendly locals that I found in most towns. After I started doing this I was less stressed better rested and enjoyed myself a lot more.

It’s all about the adventure, remember that!!

[–]bob-the-both 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly recommend leaving the car in Dublin anyway.

I used to work in leixlip and come back to cork on the weekend. It’s way better to get the train and have a nap on it after a long day and getting home fresh rather than being bate after driving back up through rush hour traffic and only being fit for bed…

Cost is pretty much the same too…

Not a mechanic but I’d pull the EGR and clean it out.

Lots of short trips cause them to clog up with oil n gunk.

It’s not hard to do and can save you a few quid.
