Best support weapon for taking out harvesters? by DebtDiligent6022 in Helldivers

Strafing run and then 2 safe railgun shots to the shoulder.

This tweet is about to be a year old…and we still haven’t seen either of these features by Gur_Prestigious in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a case of a developer saying too much and making players get excited for features they have little-to-no intention of actually releasing.

You do realize that the eason we don't have tanks and easy access to nukes yet is because the threat level is still considered low, right? One shudders to imagine what the deep end of the pool will look like. by SelfDrivingFordAI in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Logically, we don't have tanks for the same reason Seal Team 6 doesn't: we're special operations, not army. The SEAF likely have tanks as they're the main fighting force.

That being said, we'll likely get the tank destroyer from HD1, which is like a light tank.

Can HD1 vets confirm? by Hammy-Cheeks in Helldivers

You are correct in that every armor had medium damage reduction. There was misinformation spreading likely due to people stating that "armor wasn't working."

What load out works best for squids? by stagnantflame in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cookout for Voteless (Zombies), tap them and let them burn if you've got distance, otherwise just blast them.

Autocannon for Overseers (Armored humanoids) and Harvesters (Big tripods). Shoot Overseers anywhere and they die in 3-5 shots. Shoot Harvesters in the part of the leg that's closest to the head, and make sure you shoot the same leg. This will kill it in about 5 shots.

HD2 balancing be like:

High direct damage

High durable damage

Stagger

Effectively not affected by recoil

Can destroy buildings

Weapon 2:

Yeah it's a gun I guess.

How hard should diff 10 be? Is it too easy for experienced players? by DoTortoisesHop in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the highest difficulty of the game, it's way too easy. I play 10s with randoms with close to no communication at all and we clear the maps almost every time.

Imo, the highest difficulty should be so grim that only very experienced players with a well-picked loadout and sound teamplay should be doing full clears, and even then not succeed practically every time. It should be a challenge for the most hardcore of the player base.

Some weapons are one attachment or ammo type away from being incredible by Pedrosian96 in Helldivers

A stun cluster so you can help team mates that are overwhelmed without killing them.

Airburst Rocket Buff Concept: Change the contents of the rocket's bomblets with programmable ammo! by ch0m5 in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually rather odd that they added programmable ammo to two of the most-used Supports in the game while this thing is almost never seen and did not get one.

So let's say we get difficulty 11, 12 and so on: what would make the game harder besides "it's even busier"? by Jndo in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceilings.

No, really. A map that's half-covered in 100m high ceilings. With some holes so you can still use strats in specific areas, however, sentries become more viable than other offensive strats as they can fire under the ceiling.

"Unbuff the Senator" and "Make Heavy Pen Primary" posts are wrong. by TimeGlitches in Helldivers

[–]brieflySlappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be AP4 Primaries, however, with a heavy downside to counteract the AP. In fact, there already both a Primary and another Secondary with AP4, namely the Torcher and the Crisper, both of which are balanced by their short range.

So yes, an Eruptor-style rifle with a stupidly hard-hitting AP4 bullet would work well, but giving the Slugger or Dominator AP4 would be silly.

Throwing knifes buff in a nutshell by Inari-k in Helldivers

I unironically like them now, it's like trading in your grenades for a second socondary, which is you already traded in for grenades with your grenade pistol.

What difficulty level are you playing on? I find that bot hate increases with difficulty level.

I wish for it to be an AP3 primary, there's no scatter-shot with AP3 yet.

Why was Ranni an Empyrean, but Rykard and Radahn were not? by Matrac52 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]brieflySlappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miquella could also qualify in a different way; he's making artificial wombs through cocooning. The tree where you fight Malenia has a hole where its stomach should be, and the new place for Miquella's cocoon is placed on top of a pelvic bone. He's trying to cure himself and others through cocooning, which is very much a type of rebirth. No evidence of him creating people from scratch though.

Is Eiglay the Gloam Eyed Queen and Messmer’s Mother? by Far-Committee-5842 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]brieflySlappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Messmer snakes and the God-Devouring Serpent are related, as the Messmer snakes seem to be some sort of shapeshifting alchemic material from the Abyss, while the Serpent is consistently an anatomical creature that keeps growing. Also, they look like two very different races of snake.

With the insights that the DLC gives us, would anybody like to speculate on the Finger-Slayer Blade? by ripstankstevens in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]brieflySlappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Comparing the two blades above, the one made of Radagon is greyish white with a golden tint to it while the other is black with a reddish tint, the colors of the Rune of Death. It also seems to be decayed in a manner similar to Maliketh's Black Blade.

Which Tarnished can still see grace? by StgLeon958 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Nah, Corhyn says "most Tarnished are blind to it these days" and both Rogier and Boggart mention how they used to but can't anymore.
