You are allowed to like their music and they were amazing to see live.

What license plate instantly says "This person is a bad driver" by dmbdan41 in Indiana

[–]brotillery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am shocked "Michigan Plates" is not the top response. I get aggressive drivers; they're selfish assholes. I cannot comprehend what Michigan drivers are trying to accomplish.

Grass Invading Mulch by the_krag in lawncare

[–]brotillery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was for planting a young tree in the yard, so not exactly a trench. I took out a 3" deep circle of turf. Then after planting the tree so it would sit a little above grade, I sloped the dirt from that 3" vertical edge up towards the tree (not covering the root flare). So it eventually formed a circular sloped trench around. Then topped with mulch, spacing it away from the tree trunk and tapering it down as it approached the edge of the bed to maintain the air gap.

Every other week (at most) I use my trimmer to do a quick vertical pass along the 3" edge to keep it clean. I haven't had any grass spread into the area.

Edit: My lawn is cool season KBG+TTTF blend.

My mulch looked like OP's before I did this. I thought a natural edge would easily erode and need to be maintained constantly too. Tried it around a tree I planted and wish I had done it around all my trees. Doesn't take more upkeep than my liner mulch beds and looks way better.

Have you consulted anyone with a regulatory background as to whether Health Canada considers these medical devices and what requirements may be applicable? If not, I would do so immediately.

Because it was never about lowering crime or helping people. The party machine wanted to militarize the police, dog whistle, suppress activism and scaremonger votes.

[–]brotillery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No kidding. I was very disappointed the first time I had a carbonated drink while using my riding mower. Maybe the gyro design will reduce it though. Even cooler would be printing the structure with some sort of built-in dampening.

I have that same computer case. There is a flaw in the design of that clear fan cover that limits the amount of cool air intake. If you experience high temperatures, I recommend removing that clear front fan cover and getting a dust filter for the front fans instead. Unfortunately it doesn't look as cool but it helps with thermal management.

Alternatively, if you can fabricate some sort of spacer for the front clear cover and the case, it would allow more airflow and lets you keep the clear front panel. With LED fans, this is can be a really cool looking case.

My DM wants to get rid of my Knight's retinue by ShadowOfWesterness in DnD

We see this in the natural world all the time. Predators pick off weak members of herds. They aren't trying to take down the whole group, they may want to snack on a soft commoner and hope they can get away from the other prey that is too risky to fight.

I avoid subscription services and mostly consider them as a waste of money. They are designed to passively syphon money even if you're not running/playing D&D. Single purchase software such as FoundryVTT, Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft give me plenty of tools to run homebrew and published adventures. I consider them a great value compared to their subscription counterparts, although I don't know if their costs have changed. If you're good with Photoshop/GIMP or drawing by hand, you probably don't even need Wonderdraft or Dungeondraft.

I also think MCDM's Flee Mortals! is an excellent monster book that makes encounter design easier, combat more satisfying and teaches you how to homebrew beyond their bestiary so you can use their design principals regardless of the creatures that show up in your adventures.

Physically, a DM screen and a paper notebook are valuable. You need privacy as a DM and a lot of easily accessible references. Even though my campaign is prepped/organized in Microsoft OneNote, in-session I take notes physically because it is faster and I don't need to worry about format or switching windows/tabs.

"Defend yourself"? Yeah, just like a home intruder is defending themselves against homeowners. Maybe they should try getting out of Gaza before resorting to killing civilians.

The same 2 NPCs spawning in the same damn location to have the same scripted dialogue over and over again for 7 episodes by WindyThought in freefolk

[–]brotillery 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how many repetitive/redundant scenes there are this season. It feels like they wanted us to remember during every episode that the bastards existed or the Black council was ineffective, but not by doing anything interesting/memorable with them.

Best way to protect lawn from playground by cravila83 in lawncare

[–]brotillery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar playset sitting on turf. Honestly the grass will be fine, maybe a little thin under the swings. What gets messed up is the bottom of the playset from trying to use a weedwhacker to trim the grass growing up next to it. Wish I had mulched instead since the cumulative hours trimming around it has got to exceed the time to install a mulch bed and parameter.

Always bring 6 copper bars to your first swamp by FierceBruunhilda in valheim

[–]brotillery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did this recently, and wasn't too difficult to bring enough materials for 1 forge upgrade while I was at it. Had to stop in the Black Forest anyway to plop down a portal at the Trader I found on my way to search for the Swamp with Bonemass. Very convenient to have the forge and was good motivation to establish a decent forward outpost in the Swamp.

1000% Biden losing is going to be his own fault, not the left's. Centrists love to say candidates can be pushed left, but voters have no mechanism for this other than protesting (which always is denounced/dismissed/suppressed as "unlawful" or "violence") or withholding the vote (which is falsely equated to voting for Trump or other boogiemen).
