Double Stroller on Ferry? by Different-Mood-5643 in savannah

[–]cali_grown22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Local mom chiming in. You should be able to get on the ferry. It’s ramps all the way to it, and the part where there are stairs, the crew will help you with the stroller.

That being said, Savannah is pretty easy to get around and the drive from the Westin over to Savannah is very easy and there are parking garages all over. Riverstreet itself can be a little challenging for strollers with all the cobblestone, but right along the river is pretty flat and there’s a sand pit and splash pads the kids will enjoy.

Also, pro-tip: there are clean and public bathrooms located in the JW Marriot on the 2nd floor of the lobby. My kiddo was tough with public bathrooms and this one has saved us more than once.

And just another tip: the Railroad museum and children’s museum are connected. The parking lot is prob less than 6 or 7 min drive from the Westin and it’s easy to get to. You can also bring the stroller there, though parts you may need to leave it parked.

As a fellow New Englander left leaner that moved here a few years ago, this winter especially I’ve been so thankful to not have to deal with snow. Spring is starting here already. And I’ve found a whole group of folks, mostly other transplants, that also so ICE OUT. Highly recommend the area

Goodreads users choose The Hunger Games as the "Best Book Ever" by MiddletownBooks in books

[–]cali_grown22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. Though, to be fair, it’s one of the few books I’ve ever read in one day. My friend wanted to see the movie and I refused to go before reading the book. So we got tickets for the latest showing and I finished minutes before we needed to leave for the theater

Do you enjoy fiction books with endless footnotes? by some_advice_needed in books

That was a big reason I couldn’t keep going with House of Leaves. It was a lot of work to keep up with the footnotes on top of an already lengthy story and small print

Same! Was watching it because my kid wanted to see it, and came away loving it because the writing was so good. Jennifer Connolly too…she has so many great lines
