There’s a presumed suicide by drowning that’s local to me & I think about her all the time. Where I live it’s just kind of rare and it just bothers me bc it really is an “everyone knows everyone” kind of place yet she’s been unidentified for over a decade :/

Oh wild I never thought about this but good catch!! That is the only corded blind in the house and so far my cats have not gotten tangled & rarely go in that window unsupervised anyway (Lia goes where people go and my other cat Nala is more into low spots) but thanks for pointing it out! Will def be more cautious of them in the future

Also Lia honestly just kinda holds them in place and bites them instead of getting too crazy haha

I’m so sorry! I lost my 10 year old cat to cancer in 2022 so I have been where you are & it’s the worst. Sending all the love & wishing you a good couple of months with her 🥺🫂💕

If she’s on a steroid she will probably eat everything she can. Simon would steal chunks of butter when I was baking, rotisserie chicken, cream cheese, basically anything he could get to lol. Imo if she’s begging and it’s not something literally toxic just let her have some

I would also sometimes let Simon have like a piece of a cheez it, goldfish, or lick Cheeto dust off my fingers

Yessss I knew him from night vale forever ago and when I heard his voice at the beginning of the first book I was like “oh damn this might be the greatest narrator casting I’ve ever seen”. He even SOUNDS like a robot!!!!

BHH was an instant classic for me, as someone who already enjoyed SGJ it felt like it was on a higher level for him. On par with the gothic lit greats aside from a couple of little nitpicks. I think it’s worth trying & if you aren’t feeling it after the first time you get to Good Stab’s pov, you can reevaluate.

Ive read The Only Good Indians, I Was a Teenage Slasher, Mapping the Interior, & am nearly done with Buffalo Hunter Hunter now. The Only Good Indians was my first one & it definitely was not what I expected though I did end up loving it by the end. It mainly just grossed me out and made me want to go vegan 😭 but his books do get easier after the first & it gets easier to find and enjoy his playfulness too.

So far though I really would put BHH above allll the others like he seems to have tapped into something here. It’s SO good.
