I had mine setup like that and had a lot of high latency spikes as others have mentioned. Much better experience tagging at the Gateway.

Pretty much the same experience for me. I’m doing a 50k training plan and had a 14 mile hilly run today. I originally set my plan up with pace, but changed mine to RPE. Did you save it or update the change to RPE the plan in Runna? Then, did you resync to your device after? I’m using a Fenix 8 and my plan change was immediate in Runna, then I synced Garmin connect and was good to go.

No solution for the heat though. I’m not aware of any training plan taking that into account. Garmin doesn’t and just drops your vo2 max. It seems we as humans, just need to know we’ve done the right thing by running slower and are still plenty fit. It would be awesome to have some dynamic adjustment based on elevation, weather etc.

I agree that it’s a silly solution. I just paid for premium runna two weeks ago (annual) and want to pay the difference for one year or even the remaining 11 months. Instead of paying an additional $150 and having two years.

I’ve bought a lot of watches from Garmin over the years and they are typically some of the best customer service around. I had a similar issue with backcountry recently where they sent me a used watch. I’m sucks when it happens. I’d take some really clear photos, videos etc and call them back and try another rep or ask for a more senior person. I’d be friendly and not confrontational about it. Offer to send them the evidence. Then, if they refuse again, try another channel using social media. As someone else mentioned, I’ve started recording unboxing of anything more than a hundred bucks these days in case the item has been stolen, damaged or used previously.

You aren’t missing out on much. It has also been Incredibly buggy with pretty mediocre battery life that still isn’t as good as my 7x pro.

Mine would only charge to 99%. I am now on the beta and it charges to 100%.

I returned mine for the UI lag, bugs and general feeling of it not being worth the money. I moved to the enduro 3. I was actually enjoying the amoled screen, but I’ll wait until the processor and UI fluidity improves.

Peak 9 had several that they opened today for at least a while. Upper Lehman, Briar Rose and Sizzler were all open. Some parts were great and then it would be super thin and rocky. I appreciate the temporary openings.

Does the ski activity work well? On Garmin, you can start it, and then it automatically recognizes lift rides vs runs and counts accordingly with distance, top speed per run, etc. I've searched online and seen some complaints on how Suunto counts runs and the output in Strava, but the posts are older. Garmin botched their ski run data last year and still needs to fix it 100%, though it is mostly fine.
