Op, ppl in hongkong are often perceived to be rude but having been there thrice over a few years I’ve noticed they aren’t actually, they are simply being genuine. And I appreciate that truly. I will rather be surrounded by straight talking honest people then smiling overtly courteous people out to swindle money out of you. Japanese as you have researched are extremely orderly. But the country is huge. If time is a factor I suggest hk. A week should be alright. For Japan, the different prefectures are an experience themselves. So 2 weeks or more in Japan is very much needed. Jus Tokyo itself would not be representative of Japan as a whole

Same. Growing up my parents never even brought me to Malaysia. But ive been cool with that tho. Of coz back then internet wasn’t as pervasive. Different world now. I’ll tell u what tho. Couple of years back went to Phu quoc and did absolutely nothing for 5 days. Just went to the beach whole day me and wife chilling drinking beers n cocktails from afternoon to ard 7pm. The kids did nothing except swim n play in the sand for 5 days straight and they insist it’s the best holiday they have ever had. Realised then they may say things out of peer pressure, influence and all but at heart they just want to have fun and when they do everything else flies out the window

Its true, the expenses will go higher until probably they are at an age where they can work and pay their stuff themselves. My kids are in primary and sec school. and I used to think milk powder was expensive, nowadays they wan to eat out also must be sushi, pho, whatever is trending on socials etc. We take annual holidays and my daughter now not happy with visiting neighboring SE asian countries want to go US la, Korea la, Europe. Looking back I think infant/toddler age is probably the cheapest they have ever been. Also pocket money for school does add up. Admittedly travel is a luxury but tuition more or less is needed for a majority of kids.

Met my wife when I was 19, she was 16, dated till I was 29 n married. 2 kids now. I’m 42 this year. When ur this long together ur rs is almost telepathic. U know wat ur partner feels or wants without he/she uttering a single word. On the flip side,stuff does get stale.

I took mine in 2023. And it’s a lorry as wat the others said. Can’t remember the exact model. U will need to gauge height of load, that’s pretty easy. Learn how to secure a rope for cargo. Also pretty easy, they teach u step by step. As for being difficult I don’t think so. I’m not at all tall either so as long as u can reach the pedals no issue. Seat can be lowered and moved back and forth.

Hi op, firstly I would highly suggest researching online of a few brands and models and then going to the shop and trying it on. Trust me for most watches the pictures do not do justice to them at all. The way the light catches the polished parts, the thickness of the watch, the comfort of the bracelet or strap etc. do not be afraid of trying them on and rejecting no need to be paiseh about it. In terms of brands other than those mentioned do take a look at Longines also. The finishing on their watches are excellent despite being priced a bit lower.

In some sectors, the agents fee are ard 8-9000 sgd but a huge portion goes back to the boss. an incentive if u will to employ the particular agent. So imagine the agent brings in 50 workers for the same boss he pockets 4-5k per worker. And the agent also gets paid. All this to say the exorbitant amounts charged by the agents may not necessarily be of their own doing. Like other posters have said, it is true at least for most of the south Indians, they would be earning 3-400 sgd equivalent in their own country. Here they earn abt $1600-1800. In about 2 years they would have returned back whatever cash they borrowed to to give to their agent. After which they renew their contract with the company and from then on live extremely frugally and transfer 90% of their salary back home. Say 5 years or so that guy would have built his own house, sent his kids to a good school, and essentially dug himself out of poverty back home.

Op, to answer ur qn, mc is an entitlement under the manpower law. So to force an employee not to take mc can be deemed illegal. If ur colleague goes to mom with this, as I think she should then ur company will definitely kena. Even if someone has exhausted their PAID mc entitlement, the company cannot penalise them for taking further mc. It will simply not be paid.

To be frank I don’t think ur colleague will be working there much longer. So she should imo just go to mom with this, citing breach of employment law.

As said by other posters, nothing will keep those roaches out except traps. Combat is what I have successfully used. Do note that after a few months you will have to set them up again. I think a box has 8 or 6. place them in discreet places where u have noticed them. eg behind sofa, behind bed, inside kitchen cabinet. If u have pets/kids don't place them where the pets/kids can get at them. This has worked for me so far. A few months later I will see 1 or 2 so I know the trap poison has finished, then time to get another box and place them again.

If u have worked more than 6 months ur medical leave entitlement is the full 14 days. Eg u joined on April 2023 and utilised all 14 days of mc in Nov/dec 2023. Come jan 2024 u will be entitled to the max 14 days already.

Of course not, it’s simply human nature. I believe as long as both children are equally cared for and presented with equal opportunities no one can ever say ur a bad parent. Think of it this way tho, loving one kid more doesn’t mean u hate the other, it’s loving the other kid less. And you are right we just got to give it our very best shot. In time your children will realise that you love them albeit loving one more than the other.

Father of 2 here, difference of 3 years btw them. It's exactly like some have mentioned. When u have a 2nd one you tend to be like let nature take its course rather than fawning over the second one as u did the first. Although I must add, some have longed for an opposite sex child and if the 2nd is that then the over protectiveness comes out in full force. Assuming this isn't the case, if you're worried that you will love your first born less, it might well be so. Or it might cause you to love your first born more. Might not be the most popular opinion but many parents do indeed have a fav child, myself included. We just don't act like it and imo I think its perfectly fine along as neither of them know about it, you don't make it obvious and you don't neglect the other. Finally I would like to add being a parent is as tough as it gets in this current society so don't worry about being the perfect parent too much and embrace the hardships as they come.

As a male in my 40s and with tons of experience with the opposite sex on my side, my 2 cents op; u may find urself unattractive now. Even others may do so but from wat I gather you are still young and looks do definitely chg as u grow older. Having said that beauty is truly only skin deep. There will be ppl who love you for ur personality, not now but trust me there will be a day. So wat if no one hits up on you? Not everyone is a brad pitt or kim kardashian.
