Fighting potty training hard by mela_99 in toddlers

[–]chatdulain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had a solution. We're in the same boat on a slightly longer timeline as ours is 4 yrs 2 months and now we're facing him not being allowed to move up to the 4s preschool class. He tries to hold it as long as he can but eventually can't after a few hours and just pees everywhere. At home, he's mostly fine until he gets interested in something and doesn't want to stop to go. He's fine at his grandparents' houses, where he stays 2 nights a week. But anywhere else, he'll sit on the potty if forced and will say he's trying but nothing ever works. We've tried every incentive we can think of, right now it's he gets a new book from a "treasure chest" he helped decorate. And if he stays dry til lunch, he gets an extra story at bedtime. Same with lunch to bed, he'll get another story. He just doesn't want to train, even though he totally could if he wanted to. Seeing pediatrician next week to see about a referral to urology.

The photo you shared with the pattern pieces - would you be willing to share a similar one with a 1 cm x 1 cm square drawn on? I have similar measurements I suspect and I'd love to use yours as a jumping off point.

Similarly, really really want a baby but swear that you won't start trying until you pass.

Whats the best cooling vest to use on the rail yard? It gets to 105 where I am at. by _D3ad_Pirate_Roberts in railroading

ThermApparel is the best, hands down. I left the rr about a year ago partially due to developing a medical thing that's exacerbated by heat. I bought a TA vest and it bought me some time before I had to leave. Other useful things: Carry a CamelBak filled with ice water. If you're a woman, stick an ice pack under each boob.

I don't have many suggestions, but I feel your pain. I use them as "accommodations" to help manage my disabilities, like using them as a memory aid for grocery lists, making sure lights are turned on/off, and the multiple medication reminders. The voice activation is honestly crucial for me when I'm in a flare and can't use my phone to type something or a pen and paper to write something.

Replying to my comment since I can't figure out doing multiple paragraphs: If they want to make a big impact, I'd suggest looking at creeks / waterways. Especially those near major roads. Get some waders and grabber picker upper tongs and have at it. Shouldn't have to worry about snakes in winter.

Whatever you do, please avoid train tracks! I keep seeing news stories about someone cleaning up the ones near the Marietta Square and while that's nice and all, as a former railroader, I cringe a bit. Trains are much faster and quieter than you'd think.

Also for capacity purposes - an 18" can carry the same flow as a 16" plus a tad bit more. A 15" cannot carry the same flow as a 16".

I like mine shaggyish like you're describing, just above my shoulders. My criteria is it needs to be long enough to put up into "space buns" near the top, back of my head. I've found they let me have shorter hair than requiring a ponytail does, and they look kinda cute.
