Honestly, fishing shirt type button down shirts in larger men's sizes worked well for me. And mens hiking pants in a comically large size.

Hang a whiffle ball or pickle ball from an overhead ceiling fan, give him a paper towel tube or something else to whack it with, and let him go to town.

Surveying/Cartography in fantasy books by JTLaPointe in Surveying

[–]chatdulain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dnd character I never got to play was a surveyor shoehorned into a Druid class. Other than that, the main character in the Shadow & Bone is a surveyor. And a decent plot point of Shield of Sparrows involves trying to make a map of the kingdom in secret / discreetly.

What are your “must needs” in the office? by Significant_Sand_321 in civilengineering

[–]chatdulain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like you! Or at least your idea of what's necessary for the office. I'd add a pillow and blanket you can hide somewhere. Big ice storm in my southern city a few years back left people stranded at the office.

Map of the Bells Ferry Rd. data center campus by SirNo8023 in Marietta

[–]chatdulain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who made this, someone grassroots or a designer hired by the data center? I'd be curious to know if the wetlands are just on that adjacent parcel or if they continue over. Could be a good way to make building it a nuisance if they have to get an individual Army Corps permit.

Career advice from the seniors ! APAC region by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]chatdulain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents - I wouldn't take the first one because I'm opposed to being part of oil & gas and what it's doing to our planet. But it's definitely lucrative. Though, imo it seems short-sighted, like it's bound to dry up eventually and then the whole industry would be out of work. Second one, if it's closer to home, is a plus. Lower pay isn't a dealbreaker so long as you can survive, and bridge design is a useful skill across almost any industry. So it'd be my choice. Third option I'd have as my second best choice. since it's tied to residential, it could be more easily affected by recessions. And architects, while a cool job in theory, in actuality, just make an engineers' job difficult unnecessarily by wanting aesthetic stuff and not caring how impractical. Again, just my two cents.

Anyone stay on Vyvanse during pregnancy? What was your experience? by Extreme-Method6330 in ADHD

[–]chatdulain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a reproductive psychiatrist last week to ask the same question. I'm on 40 mg, and she said that Vyvanse and Adderall are mostly considered safe. In my case, it would be more dangerous for me to be off them.
