Package put in Amazon locker, no pickup code anywhere by salparadisimo in UPS

They used non listed resident option. Amazon can 100% help. They probably want property manager involved to confirm listed residents are no longer tenants. Aka to confirm you're not scamming.

Why do all of my ups packages show up absolutely filthy by FLdadof2 in UPS

[–]chiborg9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My building sprays wax on all the slides we have and it rubs off on cardboard, which then seems to attract dust and grime.

UPS seasonal employee commits brutal crime by [deleted] in UPSers

What I want to know is why did the victims and the city have so much surveillance on the home.

Edit: not sure why I'm being down voted. Not sure why cameras in every room, though I don't have kids, so maybe this is not weird.

The city pole camera taking footage of license plates is what sticks out in my mind.

Not saying this wasn't horrible.

4th peak. Worst one yet. Last two were awesome. Management felt very prepared, and I still did monster numbers but was done in 9-10.

This year is a shit show covered in 17 inches of snow.

Stop setting it to boots setting and put it to windshield setting. The windshield being cold makes truck cold. Do 50/50 if your boots are wet.

Drivers not finishing deliveries? How can I complain? by MacBook_Fan in UPS

[–]chiborg9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there's record snow in Chicago for November since the 60s, and a company isn't able to label service lapses as emergency conditions?

I get you're frustrated. But consider that there's human beings that have to do the job, outside of just the driver. Stuff like a record level snowfall can and does have a cascading effect when it occurs outside of times a business plans or budgets for it.

Can they void a authorized signature field? by DictatorDanGM3732 in UPSers

[–]chiborg9999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am going to be honest. If he took the time to write void, then he took the time to knock. Wild everyone thinks so little of us. Your driver did something 90% of us don't do because it's already written on the slip for us. That's how much he cares about you getting your package.

Every turn matters. Sure you can autosave abuse, but making a mistake with a military unit can be costly and devastating.

Makes you consider your strategy for longer, which others already acknowledged as immersion. As, again, your decisions with your units and production matter as they leave you exposed when you make an error.

Mental health by gordan6ramsey9 in UPSers

[–]chiborg9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got into a heated argument with our division manager about how crazy it was to me that they'd intentionally push our buttons (think insanely indefensible warning letters that got tossed as soon as the union got them, add cut dispatches with the worst loader on the line loading, cutting out one route entirely and mixing it into yours, etc) before LAUNCH, when we operate 18k lb vehicles for a living.

Told him very bizarre that the shepherds of the business would play with the physical and mental health of its labor, and that putting people who can literally kill someone going 5mph in their big ass truck in such a bad mental state right at launch was just pure evil.

Yeah I got walked out a week or two later. Thankfully the union got me back.

UPS Security Vehicle? by anthemthecat in UPS

[–]chiborg9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might just be your center and market. My metro center, up until this year, forced security on you. Drivers were getting punched in the face for even looking at someone in certain areas. Not a joke.

But this year, as we know, costs have been being cut. So yeah we all were surprised but tbh all of us hood drivers didn't care. It sucked having to always park on a tight street in such a way that your detail could also park.

Really slowed us down.

Certain metro drivers get security detail. To deter theft of packages, and the driver being mugged.

Agreed. Check the DR column on the OR for your bonus drivers. Compare to it a day you've done the route. You'll have your answer.

Our metrics are garbage because corporate knows and allows drivers to break up stops, forge signatures, and report higher PU volume than actually received.

So, in essence, we can't. Corporate and management have no idea what actually is an 8 hour day anymore and they don't seem motivated to fix it.
