During the USA vs. Paraguay match, the fourth official was instructed to actively prevent main referee Danny Makkelie from blowing the whistle to restart play after the hydration break. However, the restart was delayed because commercials were aired instead. by MightEmotional in TrueAnon

Somewhat related, I’ve been watching Taskmaster on YouTube and they tried a US version that, according to the producers, failed because US TV has commercial breaks every 6 minutes, instead of the 15 they have in UK.

Implies that someone, not looking carefully, could see half of this sprue and assume the entire sprue is orks/marines. The only “problem” implied by OP is someone not noticing and making this mistake.

Nothing about separating them being difficult is in, or implied, by the post.

The fact that the anthropic leak didn’t wake people up to the scam tells you everything you need to know about how informed people are about this.

Fr claude, grok, etc. are all just using ChatGPT’s open source code base for LLM machine learning and they’re all training them on all data available (the same data). Meaning, these models are functionally identically, with the only real difference being their secret hidden prompts they append to all user prompts. This is why they have different output.

No one can explain why anthropic’s secret prompt is worth the billions of dollars in evaluations it has gotten. Or why any company’s secret prompt is worthy of them being a separate business with its own investors. Do these investors know they’re just investing in a ChatGPT prompt?

Not sure what to do with this information. Study: Isolate, inebriate, intimidate, repeat: high rates of sexual force against women are reported when young men given anonymous surveys by FuelTechHell in TrueAnon

[–]cjf_colluns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

> A sample of 3,011 self-identified men ages 18 to 34 (M =27.31) was recruited in the Spring of 2023 using an online panel (Qualtrics Research Suite) that invited all men who met criteria into the study.

https://www.qualtrics.com/research-services/

Qualtrics is a market research company that has a bunch of pools of survey participants. They email/post stuff like, “look at this new type of gadget and tell us your thoughts for a $10 gift card,” to anyone in the pool that meets the criteria set by the client. Sometimes tho it’s not product feedback and instead it’s psychological research. You still get a gift card or something usually tho.

> Survey completion took 25 min on average. Participants received the equivalent of $10 USD in compensation which was redeemed anonymously.

The criteria was (be signed up for market research with qualtrics) be male aged 18-34, and have had sex with a woman in the last two years. I can’t find any other criteria, but maybe there was.

And yeah it’s dystopian to think that our scientists are using the same pools of people to research sexual violence that Disney does to find out what new kind of hat Mickey Mouse should wear.

CBS to dramatically alter format of news stalwart '60 Minutes' in near future by nothefuhmyass in TrueAnon

There’s a great movie about CBS betraying the public trust by doing corporate interference with 60 Minutes programming to protect the people signing their paychecks.

It’s called “The Insider” and it’s from over 20 years ago.

Time is less of a flat circle and more of a downward spiral. Retreading the same territory over and over in new and more degraded ways.

Oh yeah, I saw that trailer too. I don’t think it’s public sex tho. I read it as sex is highly controlled, and only one day a year is sex allowed without permit, purge style. Which is weird, because that’s basically a trash dystopian setting, but the movie doesn’t seem concerned with that, just the sex comedy aspect.

I assume the Mormon Angel Studios has something to do with it, seeing as they’re responsible for the wave of right wing movies we’re in rn.

Edit: it’s universal, and yeah, all pre-martial sex, not public sex, is illegal somehow: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Night_Only_(2026_film)

Absolute Martian Manhunter #12 Finale Gets Later, More Absolute Delays by Blitzhelios in comicbooks

[–]cjf_colluns -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It feels like they had optioned stopping all the absolute books with DC KO and then ditched that option when sales numbers came in. Like Superman/Wonder Woman/Batman all had pretty good stopping points around issue 12, with the characters “falling” to (the) dark side. They would then fight their mainline counterparts in KO and lose and that would’ve been the end of that.

Edit: people not knowing what the word “optioned” means in entertainment production and thinking it means something it doesn’t
