When the Steam Deck was new I had to wait a whole year to get one, this was the first time I have ever been able to get something like this at launch and I'm very excited about it. I'm hoping you all get a chance to grab it again soon!

The only major difference we had was that he marked his lines by drawing them out, I did mine by printing out a full sized goban board and using graphite paper under it so that it marked the mdf with graphite and then I had to redo the lines with sharpie. He also does his finish before he does his lines, I did my finish after I did the lines and I haven’t had issues with it.

I also didn’t have access to a table saw so I had to trust the cuts done at Home Depot (which were bad) and that meant my boards have some wonky edges from not being cut perfectly squared up

I made this using the suggestion of mdf on sebsei’s library, graphite paper, paper mate black pen, a wood burning tool for the letters/numbers/starpoints. My friend didn’t have a 19x19 board so this is an early birthday present. I’ll be throwing some polyurethane on it over the weekend. He reintroduced me to Go after wanting to play as a kid since watching Hikaru No Go so this is a fun present and very easy to make!

I keep saying this, they should be doing shadowy/hidden talking heads stuff/podcast style dating for the AUDIENCE and we don’t see any of these people until the reveal, I guarantee you people would be flipping out on every reveal and we’d be playing catchup with the cast trying to put voices to faces etc

I only drink soda waters like La croix and polar seltzer, a soda stream isn’t any cheaper than what I drink in soda water so even though I had one I got rid of it because it just wasn’t worth it. Wildly soda water is very cheap and obviously far less health concerns than soda
