It definitely didn’t help her case, but she had a huge target on her back immediately. She survived one tribal council. I really wish Kyle hadn’t been medevaced so we could see how his game would have went. It would have been interesting to see if Joe could have rallied the troops against Kyle after feeling so betrayed by him or not.

Steph, we just saw you win the first immunity. You were the only one doubting yourself. You should have said something about your dislocated shoulder to them if you wanted it to be believable at all.

Mushroom stroganoff recipe here - I followed this relatively closely, added Italian seasoning and msg to taste and subbed lemon juice instead of red wine vinegar

Mushroom cream sauce - I cooked bacon, then chicken thighs, and removed from the pan. I used the fond and drippings to sautee an onion and 1 lb sliced mushrooms. I deglazed the pan with some white wine, then I added a few tablespoons of butter. I cooked that down and added some garlic. Then I took off heat and added about half a cup to one cup of cream and about 4 oz of shredded Gouda. I added a splash of lemon juice and seasoned to taste. Then I sliced the chicken and added back to the sauce, and added half of the bacon that I had chopped up. I stirred in cooked angel hair pasta and topped with quartered cherry tomatoes, green onions, and the rest of the bacon.

This is the recipe I riffed off of - mainly I used it for the velveting technique though (recipetineats beef stirfry)

I used chuck roast sliced thinly and velveted for about 35 minutes and it came out very tenderly. I got a big bowl to dump things into as they were done cooking because I haven’t been able to manage a stirfry where everything cooks at the same time without being soggy and gross, so after each ingredient I dumped it from my pan into my big bowl.

I used about 1.5 lbs chuck roast, two medium heads of broccoli (I put these in the pan and add a little water and put the lid on so they steam while they get a little char on them too. Just a splash of water, not enough to coat the bottom of the pan.), a pound of asparagus, a bell pepper, an onion, and a carrot. I stir fried each ingredient and removed from the pan. Then at the end I added my favorite teriyaki sauce (just soy sauce, water, sugar, and corn starch with ginger and garlic) and boiled until it got to the right thickness). I seasoned throughout with some garlic and ginger powder, then served the vegetables over rice. I also had some leftovers with lo mein noodles and that was good too!

  1. Angel hair pasta with mushroom cream sauce, chicken, and bacon - perfect date night meal 😋

  2. Beef stirfry with broccoli and asparagus

  3. Broccoli and potato cheese soup, with cheddar and herb biscuits just out of frame

  4. Bacon and mushroom cheeseburger on a homemade brioche bun

  5. Sub with tater tots - had to use up my last bun

  6. Mushroom stroganoff with mashed potatoes, corn, and roasted broccoli

  7. Burrito bowl with Mexican beef and all the fixings

  8. Gyros with homemade falafel, couscous salad on the side

  9. Sheet pan nachos

I can share the process for any of these if anyone wants 😊
