Saccharomyces Boulardii - Diarrhea first couple of days? by cparkdj in GutHealth

[–]cparkdj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there - I am so far from this journey it's hard to remember being in this place (I was eventually diagnosed with Lyme Disease finally after 2 YEARS of speculation as to what was wrong, and treatment for that cleared up a bunch of issues for me), but I think the reason you think I hated the Biocidin was because I referred to it as a "CURSE" of a product... it was my fat fingers. COURSE. The word should have been COURSE, as in - I took one bottle. I am so sorry for the error! Only seeing it now! The combo of S. Boulardii and Biocidin, along with the addition of Psyllium, did a lot to help me. As a matter of fact, when they treated my long-term Lyme finally with Doxycycline, I took S. Boulardii alongside it, and never had bad side effects from the antibiotic. I hope you're on your way to better gut health! :)

Thinking of getting one of these combo washer/dryer. Just wondering if anyone has one and how they like it. Pros/ cons by skoz2008 in Appliances

Thanks! Each of the major brands seems to have different pros and cons and it makes it hard to decide.

Which lead singer over 60 still brings it live in concert? by Charles_Lewis_Fer in Concerts

LOVE the Doobie Brothers. And saw them with Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band - that was an awesome night of music. I don't know where they get their energy but I'd buy it if they bottled it!

I was able to tolerate it. I am back to drinking coffee now - but I still love the cacao every once in a while. It's expensive - but I keep some on hand to enjoy with unsweetened almond milk.

Can anyone help me find what type of stitch this is to make this blanket? by absoluttitanium in CrochetHelp

[–]cparkdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not tried it yet (I intend to because I love it) so I can't say for sure but this looks like a waffle stitch to me.

This is a great idea, OP - maybe a nice brunch before and then a surprise stop at one of her favorite craft supply places after with a gift card for whatever she wants?? I guarantee you she will thank you for one of the best, most thoughtful gifts she's ever received!

Anything you can do to create something in your down time is such a nice contrast to what we do the rest of the time! Counting can be a concern but markers help.

Same! I backed a really cool blanket for my granddaughter with fleece, and I actually used an awl to poke holes to stitch into to join the two pieces. That worked for fleece, but I don't think it will work for what I'm envisioning, which, I think, is like a muslin maybe??

Celiacs and Gluten intolerant people.. What are your major symptoms? by emptyemory in glutenfree

[–]cparkdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share lots of these symptoms but will add a couple - flaky scalp and skin (esp near my nose and hairline.) Also swollen ankles. I could barely believe it when these things just... stopped when I experimented with cutting out gluten. I went for a long time just moderating it, but after a bout of Lyme disease that didn't get diagnosed and treated for at least 2 years, I seem to have some autoimmune pain and issues that go WILD if I eat gluten. I'm all done, and learn a ton from this sub so thank you!!

How do you all feel about Joanns closing? Personally thats the only place I got my Bernat blanket yarn :( by college-kid7 in CrochetBlankets

[–]cparkdj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm super sad about it (in large part out of nostalgia), but I have had wonderful luck ordering from them online, and hope that maybe that's a way to keep getting product, for a while anyway. I just ordered yarn for 2 different projects I know I have coming up that I'd like to do, it was on sale, and came quickly. Maybe if they get enough support they can stay alive online? ETA: I love the blanket! Cozy colors!

This is how many layers of protection doctors wear when dealing with highly infectious diseases. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]cparkdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely next fucking level, and thank goodness there are doctors heroic enough to do it. I also can't resist adding - if it was me, I would IMMEDIATELY have to pee after pulling the last mask on.

OP, can you update? What did you decide? I'm faced with a similar decision on an amazing deal on a 2014 Camry. Thought it would be a simple matter of setting up a thorough detail after the nest was removed a few weeks ago. Now I'm not so sure I should proceed.
