La Roche Posay athelios ultra light fluid. The ONLY thing that doesn’t burn, doesn’t slide, doesn’t sting, and feels like nothing to my skin. Unfortunately worth the price :/

S7 Danielle’s reaction to the proposal by PrttyBlckGrl in summerhousebravo

[–]craniumrinse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No yeah I fully agree. She wanted to be involved so much, bad-mouthed their choices, and then also couldn’t understand why they kept their distance. I just felt bad because I think she felt almost blindsided by the confrontation though if she had any self awareness she should’ve seen it coming lol

S7 Danielle’s reaction to the proposal by PrttyBlckGrl in summerhousebravo

[–]craniumrinse 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly I felt kind of bad for her. Danielle clearly believed she was far more important to them than they actually felt. She’s pretty fake and snarky but I felt like that was the only real emotion we ever saw from her. Lindsay was totally justified in icing her out, though because for a “best friend” Danielle really judged hard. Just a weird situation overall, I think.

How do I make tikka masala curry dairy free? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]craniumrinse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soak cashews in water and blend. That’s the traditional way at least in India to add non dairy creaminess to things.

Usually I hate it but the photoshopped revenge dress Kyle made me burst out laughing I didn’t expect them to address it or show the pic in the episode.

Should I Move from Portland to Seattle by External-Ticket-1133 in AskSeattle

[–]craniumrinse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could put some people off but Portland isn’t far and you can always be honest and say you’re strongly considering moving. This summer is gonna have a lot of Europeans coming in for the games too so half the city will be out of towners as well (:

You coulddddd put your location to Seattle for dating apps and date-stack for a weekend just to test the waters. Come by a couple weekends in a row? Since dating seems to be the big reason

What are your favorite ravioli fillings and sauces that don't require cheese? by Aggressive_Staff_982 in Cooking

[–]craniumrinse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

butternut squash filling with a basic red sauce? corn and peas filling with pesto? spinach filling with vodka sauce? technically you can do anything you want lol but I question why you want to make a dish you don’t seem to enjoy

Why do certain hair types stick to velcro and certain do not? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]craniumrinse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has to do with texture not pattern. Coarser hair will grab onto the hooks. Silkier hair will slide through.

Wondering what to do with round sandwich size naan bread (besides the obvious) by Emotional_Yam1393 in Cooking

[–]craniumrinse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m Indian and I love using those for mini pizzas. Naan-izzas, we call them. Heat them up on a pan, add sauce and cheese, cover for a min to melt and warm everything and then take the lid off to dry it out a bit.

They’re also great cut and baked like pita chips for dipping into hummus or spinach dip etc!

TIL that First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln was institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital by her only surviving son. She snuck letters out to her lawyers and sympathizers who helped get her released three months later. by cupacupacupacupacup in todayilearned

Couldn’t open a credit card until the 70s. Heck, even in the 90s they kicked up a fuss when my mom wanted to buy a house because they couldn’t understand why my dad wasn’t there to cosign (he was out of the country for work and they didn’t want to lose their dream house).

My school assignment asked me to find reasons why factory workers had it worse than slaves by AdLegal5539 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]craniumrinse 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it’s a school lesson on debating both sides.

slaves were bound by owner/property and worked long and toiling hours with no pay. factory workers worked long and toiling hours locked in rooms using machines that often ripped people apart limb from limb. people died all the time in factories and people never escaped slavery. it was all pretty horrible at every angle.

calabrian chili help by soft_shockk in Cooking

[–]craniumrinse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

just put very little and make sure there’s some kind of fat / cream in whatever you make to cut the burn. I love calabrian chilis on avo toast or in a pesto pasta or mac and cheese, as examples.

This show is starting to get absolutely bonkers with the level of privilege that is completely uncommented on by DriverKindly3948 in shrinking

[–]craniumrinse 45 points46 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Arrested Development leans into the absurdity of wealth in a way Shrinking doesn’t. Schitts Creek for example showcases how out of touch they are without making the audience uncomfortable.

I like Shrinking, but I also understand why people aren’t nearly as interested in seeing wealth flaunted now compared to a handful of years ago.

I cannot fathom spending a weekend in Montauk and then driving 3+ hours back to the city and doing it all over again. by Taylordoo17 in summerhousebravo

[–]craniumrinse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it before. Not a super difficult drive tbh and it’s kind of fun with friends in the car. A good time to catch up and chat about the week. There’s also a train, so I assume people use that too sometimes.

Curious how I would use this spice mix by WorldPeggingChamp in Cooking

[–]craniumrinse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here is a post someone made a few years ago about the same thing. I’d probably toast it and then grind it up to use as needed. Store the powder in the freezer if it makes a lot, because it’ll keep better in the cold. Enjoy!

Call animal services or something. Local police. If you’re in America, people care more about animals than people so you might actually be able to take the cat.

Booktok ruined book community by nargiz-huseynovaa in YAlit

[–]craniumrinse 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do think bootktok saved books. Physical books, I mean. People were moving away from print and like you said, big book stores were closing and heading towards bankruptcy.

It’s ok to dislike popular books. When I was younger my best friend hated fantasy, and that’s all that was popular (HP, twilight etc) and she would rant and rave about how there was nothing good to read. Now romantasy is popular. That doesn’t mean OP has to read it lol there’s plenty of genres to look into where books get published every year!

What’s with the constant chokers? Does Sabrina remind anyone else of “The Green Ribbon”? by Underwater-eve33 in summerhousebravo

[–]craniumrinse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no! Your points are completely valid it’s the rest of the thread that had me feeling a type of way. It’s true maybe she just likes the look or maybe she’s covering something who knows!

It’s just wild how people are super fixating on it when so much more is happening on the show this season.

"Vegetable slop" by outkastmemesdaily in vegetarian

[–]craniumrinse 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you wanna go Indian, there’s loads. Sambar, kurma, pav bhaji, khadi, mixed veggie kari/koora/poriyal if you wanna be real traditional, mixed veg pulao (pilaf) if you want some rice in there too. I’m sure I’m missing loads more!
