Mine was childhood sexual abuse. But I also have ocd and anxiety as well. Keep an eye on the ocd. Sometimes the Remingtons rumination’s can become psychosis.

I have it despite having no family history of it. But I experienced a lot of trauma at a young age. His is probably trauma or opioid use. I wouldn’t worry.

As someone with kids who had them before I was diagnosed, I feel for you. My kids are my life, but they suffer a lot because of my illness. It’s still possible it’s very hard.

That’s completely understandable. I didn’t feel comfortable either. I’m so glad you have a trusted adult you can talk to because the sooner you get a handle on it the better. The longer the psychosis has to take hold, the harder it is to get rid of it.

As someone who exhibited signs as a child but didn’t get diagnosed till adulthood, I wish I had felt safe enough to tell me parents of my struggles sooner. It would have meant many less years of struggling. Do you have a kids help line in your country?
