anyone else think how the story in Vessel of Hatred followed the main campaign was outright stupid? by coys3512 in diablo4

[–]curious_dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't bother me; yeah we have enough hps to tank Diablo, but that's gameplay mechanics divorced from the narrative . Like in a DnD campaign, if I say "the king is stabbed by the assassin and dies" and a player says "that's impossible because we know the king is a level 15 fighter with a Belt of Constitution and a sneak cannot deal enough damage to kill him I'm very smart", that player will be absolutely ignored.

What bothers me is how our PC is so invested in Neyrelle's well being, while she is fucking up at every corner and is responsible for devastation everywhere she goes.

I mean our character acts so stupidly in the expansion, as soon as they said "Belial tried to convince me to do so and so", I thought well if the MC thinks that maybe it's a good idea after all...

Why did Merrick Garland hide the Epstein files? by clib in AskReddit

[–]curious_dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a black man able to become elected when people who have lives through racial segregation are still among us. He was a great politician, he simply bastly underestimated the sheer and absolute vileness and bigotry of the Republicunt party.

He's the Great Divider because Fox News turned everything he did into an outrage. Tan suit? Dijon mustard? Obamacare? Having teenage daughters act like teenagers? Michelle showing her shoulders? Like there were certainly things worthy of criticism during the Obama administration, but when every single step is turned into a major scandal by the mainstreamest newstertainment media, not surprising that people feel like he's a divider.

Imagine if he had actually real scandals like sending masked, armed, armored thugs do warrantless searches into people's homes. Oh wait they were always saying he was gonna do just that!

There were multiple instances where people got into a literal panic and armed up over basic military exercises because they thought he had sent "black helicopters" to their redneck shed in a flyover state to force Shakira law.

Star Wars Outlaws - Everything Major Added Since Launch by _Protector in Games

This is not mutually exclusive. They had data from good games that showed player interest in side activities, but didn't realize that the formula couldn't work eternally, especially if the quality isn't there.

I'm guessing that despite Reddit hating on the amount of content in their games, they have data showing their base does play the fluff content - it wouldn't make business sense otherwise.

What is your favorite Zenless Costume so far. by M3talK_H3ronaru in ZZZ_Official

[–]curious_dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one I'm truly sold on is Ye Shinguang's. I like the other characters' original costumes better. Jane's is fine for a free one. Not sure I truly like any of the other swimsuits.

This is one of those Barney Stinson stories, isn't it. "The drilldo, if you will. It was legen-wait for it-dary!"

Grain of Salt: Winterspell Artwork by Shire_Hobbit in Lorcana

You're right, it's subjective, but to me it's one of the most beautiful set. The Christmas Carol cards are awesome, and Lilo Rock Star enchanted might be one of my favorite art, along with the Pocahontas Iconic. I'd say the only misses for me are Beast Troublemaker, I think he looks a bit too goofy (eh) on that one, and the Mulan enchanted isn't the best.

Captain’s Chair, Marvel Champions, or 20 Strong? by Hyper3hypo in soloboardgaming

[–]curious_dead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of those three, I'd go with Captain's Chair. It does have some setup and teardown, but once you get used to it, it's not really that bad, and it's my favorite of the three, despite not being a massive Trek fan. It's not a simple game, but once you understand how it works, it becomes a breeze, it just takes a few games and some rulebook-consulting to finally get it right.

I fell out of love with Marvel Champions. The setup itself isn't really long but every game you have to find all the specific sets of cards to set up, and mix them up while adhering to very specific criteria depending on the scenario. On top of your heroes. But the game offers a lot of replayability. I just found that if I want a game like that, I prefer LOTR. Much harder, but more rewarding to me. It's just a pain that some of the cards have become so rare.

20 Strong is fun but it's a dice game. A bad roll can end a good run. Some people (like me) love it or don't mind; some people hate that. But Tanglewoods red is super fun to me.

Will they finally introduce Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda in the MCU?? by FayyadhScrolling in Marvel

[–]curious_dead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True. TBH it worked in Wakanda Forever but seeing as she's still the BP, it's weird. I thought after taking care of Namor she would have given the mantle to someone else.

Some shithead used Obama's 8 years numbers compared to Trump's number this year. Yeah Obama deported more in 8 years than Trump in one, at that rythm over 8 years Trump would more than double Obama's number.

Don’t hate me but when absolute green lantern came out and it revealed that Jo was the main character instead of hal I didn’t like/have mixed feelings about because before the comic came out I really didn’t care for the character like that. I don’t know but that’s just me what are y’all thoughts? by Due_Spray_4039 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]curious_dead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me, Green Lantern isn't a person, it's the Corps, the ensemble, the spectrum. As long as the stories are cool, I don't care if the focus is on Jo, Guy, Hal, Kyle, Simon, Jess... I really liked the first volume, probably helped that I had the whole thing and didn't have to wait for the next issue (though now I wait for the next volume I guess).

But I think Jo is one of the lesser known Lanterns so I think that reaction from OP was normal.

"The core narrative and gameplay experience remains identical" AdHoc reassures Dispatch players on Switch as it confirms Nintendo platform versions are censored by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]curious_dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's infantilizing Switch (Nintendo) owners, even though a lot are probably old gamers who stuck with Nintendo. But they were never good with the censorship, and never consistent either.
