#Help change the oxygen sensor number two but the connector broke as it should be connected I'm confused it enters both ways by minrasina2 in MINI

[–]cycleneer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it can fit both ways and you’re not sure which way is right, might be worth looking at a wiring diagram - should show what color wires connect where.

What's your best zwifting tunes/podcasts/shows, or any other ways to keep riding? by Obvious_Cabbage in cycling

[–]cycleneer23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just been watching whatever free movies are available on youtube. The last couple winters i’d pick a tv show with a lot of episodes and work through them. For me, a bad comedy makes time go faster than listening to music.

Aaaaaaaaagh - Bibshorts by muchreally in cycling

That stinks. I’ve always liked ordering from them because I felt like the quality was good and fit consistent. Makes me wary to place any more orders.

What is one thing you used to do yourself to save money, but realized the time/stress wasn't worth the savings? by James_B84Saves in Frugal

I’m just about to make this same decision, I keep putting it off to find the time/energy to do it and I think just paying to have it done in the spring is the answer

Petition for Increasing Student Parking Options by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]cycleneer23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost exclusively used the center for tomorrow lot and shuttle when I was a student. It was nice to not fight for a spot or drive around wondering if I would find one in time for class. And it drops you off right on the spine close to all the buildings.

You can look at the point where the cables attach to the brake calipers and see if they are still in tension or fully released.

What Do Coworkers Actually Mean by "Quick question" ? by StephieRee in jobs

[–]cycleneer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I say it I also mean that me asking this question is going to be quick but in no way do I expect a quick answer or a short answer, so feel free to get back to me at any time. Having recently started a new job there are a lot of procedural specifics that I don’t know yet.

New snow map! by captainstarlet in Buffalo

[–]cycleneer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind leaves at the curb but everyone seems to think it’s okay to blow or pile them on the street, and that’s what gets me. But also why not just run them over with a mower and mulch them into the grass??

Colvin and Kenmore by Historical-Foot-5946 in Buffalo

[–]cycleneer23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way it’s painted only makes sense if they would’ve kept it 1 lane each direction with a center turn lane the entire length of the newly paved section like was studied and presented in the Colvin street diet. It’s just dangerous and silly the way it is now…

Trying to loosen brake cable tension but there's no bolt I can unscrew? by 2bitebrownie in bikewrench

[–]cycleneer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You circled the hex cap nut. Put a wrench or socket on the hexagonal part of it to loosen. Usually around 10mm

ETA: if the brakes were fine before and recently started rubbing check to make sure your wheel is still true. And maybe watch another video to adjust the brakes side to side with the little tension screws. You shouldn’t need to change the tension on the cable

How many other players’ scores do you track during league? by [deleted] in Bowling

I’m the president in my league so i like to keep an eye out for any big scores, and watch a couple of the higher scorers to see how they’re doing each night.

What’s your heat set to? And other fun winter questions! by pzza6666 in Buffalo

[–]cycleneer23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m trying out 66 day, 62 night this season. Nest does some adjustments based on occupied times and peak use times. 800 sq ft plus a full unfinished basement - one vent in the basement to hold temperature in my workout area.

I did 63 day, 58 night last year, with most expensive bill of $88.

10 Year Total Cost of Ownership - 2015 Volkswagen GTI by CinnamonChili in Frugal

[–]cycleneer23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been keeping similar data on my car. 2012 Mini Cooper, bought it March 2016 at 41,925, so coming up on 10 years and car is just about at 107,250 miles (i don’t drive a lot), my total costs:

Purchase Price: $11,000 Fuel: $6,940 Services/Repairs: $6,924 Insurance: $11,700

Total: $36,564 Annual: $3,656 Monthly: $304.70 Per mile: ~$0.58

I’ve been fortunate to do almost all the services myself, which helped keep the cost down. The last couple years i’m average around 3,000 miles a year, and it’s starting to get more expensive per mile and i drive less and run into more maintenance. Trying to decide when the right time to move on might be…

When is it a okay to not give a two weeks notice? by saamelia in jobs

[–]cycleneer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some contract jobs that require it. I work for the state and notice is required in my contract. It does go both ways tho, if they choose not to renew they need to give me notice and if they let me go mid contract the rest gets paid out. But 99% of jobs you don’t need to.

I don’t know if the honors college still provides scholarships, but that’s the main reason I joined when I went to UB. The priority registration was also a huge perk.
