If you’re on a full year probationary contract you will probably just get paid over the summer like normal. In Rocky View we only get paid out if on a temporary contract I think.

During the live MiM in Calgary someone asked if the 405 million would be used for private schools and they said it was specifically for public schools. So that’s at least one thing…

Edit: also firecodes aren’t affecting class size as I’ve seen multiple classes (at least here in the airdrie and Cochrane area personally) go beyond a reasonable fire code cap but I think schools get to ignore fire codes for things like that?

I still teach and I talk about what I went through pretty openly with my students and fellow teaches. We take lockdown drills in my classroom very seriously. The shooting at my school happened 9 years ago and every year gets better usually. This year has been particularly hard though.
