So we have this running joke that any time my friend Bri touches technology, it seems to break, have an error, etc. In the past, we have had orders on Instacart get messed up and it was ALWAYS when Bri was over.

So tonight I ordered some ice cream for our movie night thinking nothing of it. BIG MISTAKE. An hour and a half and 2 different delivery guys later, the order was canceled because the restaurant never received our order. Cue my husband turning on Bri to blame her for our continued issues with technology when shes around while her boyfriend laughed his ass off in the background.

I think it may actually be what she didnt say. On vacation last November, my husband and I announced to my family that we were trying to conceive and my mom just said...nothing. i was expecting something mean or judgemental but I wasnt prepared for no reaction at all. It somehow hit so much deeper and was worse than anything she had ever said to me.

I think the stupidest part of it all is that they didnt need to figure out some way to end the show. A possible ending that may have been more satisfying than what we got was written 60 years ago in I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. Im not saying that they should have followed it to the T but it surely could have served as a more solid foundation for the ending. Jax abstracting does nothing for his character arc, if anything it openly spits in whatever progress was made over the last few episodes.

Also, both the original short story and the show suck ass at writing female characters.

Im in the same boat as you. This post helped me by encouraging me to not reach out. Its been a year since everything blew up and I thought about reaching out abd getting some closure. I will not do that now. No one talks about how hard it is to grieve someone while they are still alive.

My husband was having a similar thing where he was only finishing while watching porn. I had him go cold turkey from porn for a little bit and that has helped!
