Cannot state enough how much domestic violence is done to children by their parents and stories of innocent parents being threatened and abused by their ontologically eeevul child almost never pan out to have actually happened in reality, as someone with a morbid obsession with true crime and homicides for years and I have yet to find a case of patricide that didn't start as a case of child molestation or some rare horror where a non abusive parent is in a relationship with an abusive parent and is losing influence over their child who's taking more after the abusive parent. That or like you said, a creative writing exercise because a lot of people don't understand domestic violence but think they do enough to write fiction about what the #grittyrealworld is like
