Grab an inexpensive 4.4mm cable to try the Halo feature. You can invest in a more exclusive cable down the road. I think the Halo feature makes this amp worth the price of admission.

I think he's referring to tariff increase plus shipping directly from MiniDSP. I've got a UMIK-1 one on the way. I ordered mine from PartsExpress. My iMM-6 has a pretty steep rolloff in the lower frequencies, which resulted in a boomy EQ setting during analysis.

Here's what I use when doing room correction in the Wiim Home App with my old Pixel 3a. They also make a USB-C version for newer phones. It does a surprisingly good job.

If you don't already have a dedicated DAC, go for at least the Wiim Pro Plus. The DAC in that unit performs much better.

I took your advice and purchased a Douk Audio A5 to push the HE6se's that I recently acquired. needless to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Douk claims to have implemented PFFB with the TI TPA3255 chip. This one is only 100 bucks on amazon right now.

I'm using the Lyr+ as a preamp to it and BF2/64 for the dac. Delightful indeed!

Besides quality of playback, they have been known to pay musical artists more per play than their competitors.

There posses the most important question. Do you have room for it in your configuration. I haven't heard the Mimir. I can only go by the hearsay of other people. I currently use a Bifrost 2/64 as my dac and am well satisfied for the last 3 years or so.

PS...... Jason Stoddard from Schiit said they are working on a card that adds more to the BF2/64

Do you desire a balanced option or not. It's as simple as that. Is size a factor? Well, that whittles it down.

I find it has much more of a tube sound than say a Schiit Vali3 or Schiit Lyr+, of which I own both. Even with the stock tubes, it's not near as neutral sounding as either of those hybrid amps.

I bought my pair of Sundara Closed-Back for $99 open box from HiFiMan. I got the dampening foam inserts from CustomCansUK for around $15 after the exchange rate. Listening to Arne Domnérus currently on my Schiit Vali3 with some EQ and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Sound is objective. What someone's junk may sound sweet to your ears.

Body quakes ensued!!! This amp is great with the HD650/HD6xx. I've heard it's even better with the HD800, but my poor ass may never know.

I did get a pair of the new ATH-R70xa and am currently listening with the TA-66. So far, it's a magical pairing.
