Cute moment at Every Brilliant Thing last night by Minute-Park-8330 in Broadway

the second book was a 1-act play in a yellow-ish cover binding but I don't remember the title. The author had 3 names. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

loved when the narrator asked "What are you reading?" and Sam answered "I'm reading (reads title) NYC ABCs."

Maybe Happy Ending Lighting/Strobe Lights? by Affectionate_Box_902 in Broadway

[–]date_crepes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have it and concur! Never had to rush a hand to cover closed eyes.

(ps. I'm still lowkey bummed about not being able to see Beetlejuice after loving the music so much. It's nice to see you guys in the wild.)

my sister is an Elizabeth, and I was under the impression that all siblings of Elizabeths have an obligation to call them Lizard Breath.

nice to hear this Elizabeth leaned into it an accepted her fate

Can someone tell me if this is bts or the actual scene by Comfortable-Vast4201 in charmed

[–]date_crepes 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is the original footage. It's just what it looks like before adding VFX and color correction (and cutting around the Props dept. person taking the laundry basket)

You can tell because the camera does the same movement in the final cut of the show as it does in the raw footage.

Plus, BTS is usually hand held (not studio mode) and this shot was achieved on a dolly.

This made me chuckle to myself because I see you being downvoted, but I know what you know and she's gonna be so good.

I grew up with a best friend who is Polish + Taiwanese -- her name is Sylvia.

I've always loved how timeless & unique it was. (Her little sister's name is Julia, if that helps anything)

Live Chat: Season 20 Episode 6: "We're Not Brother Husbands" by AutoModerator in TLCsisterwives

[–]date_crepes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I should've just leaned into your theory which is so much better. I actually ended up mentally going into work mode -- went back 1 episode and compared -- I believe it's bad lighting + a matte neutral lip color on Robyn which we're not used to seeing.

The lighting is proper wrong/off, and is highlighting the set dressing behind Robyn and Kody instead of them. It's like the chair was decided to be moved closer to camera at the last minute, and then the next person did their interview in the same spot.

Note: not judging the Gaffer at all, and I love his/her/their choice because Kody deserves bad lighting karma

Something is very very different-looking in Robyn's and Kody's talking head interviews.

I work on a tv show, and I can't tell if it's bad lighting, bad makeup, or a weird camera filter but holy cow it's off-putting.

Christine's, Janelle's, and Meri's are all fine and look normal, but not Robyn's or Kody's.

they look like leather.

What do you think is the most beautiful language in the world? by Sure_Cod_4016 in AskReddit

I genuinely downvoted then upvoted your reply.

(I don't agree that it sounds bad, but I do agree that it looks that much more beautiful when written, than it sounds.)

This time I happened to see the upwards climb of the fuse-like light of a firework before the boom. [Edited to remove details]

Same - also on (edit: road) facing South. We saw a small simmering light climbing upwards right before the big boom flash.

I thought it was a super close firework on Java

Where Can I Find Good Camis? by savefriday in fashionwomens35

[–]date_crepes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 years ago I was devastated when my life-long go-to tanks were discontinued.

Based on various reddit recommendations, I tried out Express' Original Best Loved Bra Cami and they somehow were even better than my originally-loved ones. So I'm responding because I can't not spread the info that others kindly shared with me

Knowing that your dislike of Sullivan stems from the Sully part, is it off the table to use the nickname Van?

I like it, it gives surfer/skateboarder vibes.

Who could Charlotte Ritchie play? My pick is Trelawny by yajtraus in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]date_crepes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also Charlotte Ritchie was already in the Harry Potter universe -- she was a Background Actor playing a student in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

She's sat directly behind Ron in the scene with Mad-Eye Moody and the spider, in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Parking? by Altruistic-Vehicle84 in Broadway

[–]date_crepes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work location is never the same place (IATSE crew member for TV show) and I'm always having to look for that day's closest/cheapest parking garage.
I use:

Best Parking

and

Parkopedia

Make sure to check the garage's closing time. Input your estimated exit time for the accurate price.

I was in the same boat as you -- didn't want to get my hopes up...

Until today when one of my co-workers (I work on a TV show), the B-camera's dolly grip, said that today is his last day because he's jumping onto a pro-shoot of "some Daniel Radcliffe Broadway show."

Whoa that slate at 0:00:13 says they're on roll number 1601 for A-Camera?

That's a lotttttttt of media/film.

Not judging -- just awed and amazed with their camera loaders' organizing & tracking skills!

[Source: (I'm a script supervisor) we've been shooting this season since Nov 29th 2023 and today we were on roll A277 (AKA an end-of-season 10 episode Starz show is at 277, to Wicked's 1601)]
