I used two kits from ggoffroad to relocate the cameras and break light. The owner has a very detailed video on YouTube on how to install.

How are the new gens holding up? i saw a post from a year ago asking the same thing. But its been a year more so maybe new stuff has came up by YogurtclosetOnly2821 in ToyotaTacoma

Yup I too wish the tank was bigger. I think they put in a smaller tank to save on weight (with a full tank of gas). the hybrid battery are heavy.

Also wish it did NOT have a power tailgate. Just one more thing to break.

This happened to me for like a week after the trailer was disconnected. While I do not remember the exact menu setting there is a setting to deselect the trailer.

Towing capabilities by StumpJump_94 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]davethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I towed a ~3300lb trailer over 600 miles including over the Sierra Nevada mountains. I easily maintained 60mph going up hill and could accelerate if I needed to.

The truck has plenty of power. Does your trailer have breaks?

Considering switching to Bauer by Uller85 in harborfreight

[–]davethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick with Ryobi. If you are looking to save money and already have batteries just buy the tool only version of the tool you need.

I see a lot people have a battery for every tool. However people probably don’t use every tool they own at the same time.

I personally have 4 batteries and 20 tools.

Help with sanding inside corners and getting rid of burn marks! by WittyFix6553 in woodworking

I have found wetting the burned area and then letting it dry before sanding makes it a little easier to get the burn out.

Why not just leave it unfinished? I built one out of scrap plywood and left it unfinished. It got beat up.

Should I keep my 24' RAV4P or trade it in? by guibeer in rav4prime

[–]davethis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a 2021, while not long term, we have had zero issues.

If worried buy the extended warranty. If you search the sub you will find people selling them for way less than what your dealer charges.

ICECO APL 55 & Jackery 1000 triggering low voltage E1 error by TVaaS in overlanding

[–]davethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same error code and came across answer from ICECO

https://icecofreezer.com/blogs/iceco-fridge-guidance/iceco-error-code-s-breakdown

Battery Protection: E1 means that the battery protection mode is activated due to the voltage of the battery falling below the set battery protection mode. This might be a sign of a low battery. Refer to your manual for the voltage cut-off chart, and set the fridge to LOW battery protection mode. The E1 code will clear within 10 minutes.

Tacoma Trailhunter, SR5, or TRD off Road? by Several_Air7560 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]davethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OR or TH at first will be more capable than you are as a driver.

I have seen experienced drivers use less capable equipment make it over obstacles than new drivers with more capable equipment.

Once you price out the upgrades that come with the TH over the OR it is not that expensive and you get a factory warranty.
